The month of September ……

The month of September ......

….. after remembering today, this unforgettable day for America
….. after all the memorials, reflections, prayers ….

At memorials and in their schools, homes, and places of work across the country on Wednesday morning, Americans paused to remember those lost in the Sept. 11 attacks that shook the nation 12 years ago.

At 8:46 a.m. EST, crowds gathered at the site of the Twin Towers in New York City observed a moment of silence marking when the first plane crashed in the city’s downtown. President Barack Obama joined by the Vice President and First Lady also marked the moment on the lawn of the White House.

The president later observed a moment of silence at the Pentagon to mark the time at which Flight 77 struck the building, joined by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey.”

****Without any desire to lessen its meaning, I feel that we need a little bit of lightness, because life does go on!!!

…. in memory of those who lost their lives, those who remain behind, have to carry on!!!

  1. Agreed with your sentiments.. And I mean no disrespect to those who still grieve…. But its time to let go of Bitterness, and Blame, and move forward in the spirit of harmony and Peace…While no one will forget, like those who die daily in wars and conflict, disasters, and tragedies all over the world… While ever we hold on we do not move on… The time is now to embrace Peace, and we do that by letting go of that which no longer serves .. Let us commemorate their passing not as a tragedy, but one that perhaps will bring greater awareness to us all who can know that they gave their lives so that we could unite in a better world, if we each crave that Dream,,,,

    Peace in our Time….

    • Sue … we share similar views. It’s time to move one … not forgetting but accepting what can’t be changed. Moving forward …. we have to, as a people, let the world know that only love and peace is the answer.
Yes, I agree ….. that’s the only way that there will be closure and learning.
Seems to me sometimes that we didn’t learn anything.
Always remember Einstein’s definition of insanity!!
