This video is about the Fukushima disaster in Japan.

From the Asahi Shimbun daily in Japan:

Editorial: Abe should confront the reality of Fukushima radiation leaks

September 22, 2013

“In the wee hours of Sept. 20, a strong earthquake measuring a 5-plus on the Japanese seismic scale struck Fukushima Prefecture. Its epicenter was in the Hamadori area in the eastern part of the prefecture, where the wrecked Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant is located.

Even though it caused no damage to the some 1,000 storage tanks within the plant that are filled with radioactive water, the quake must have given many people a chill.

On the previous day, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the crippled plant and reiterated his view about the effects of contaminated water, saying they had been “completely blocked” within a certain range.

But he is overoptimistic if he really believes what he said…

  1. It is so sad what has happened here in Fukushima, and yet what concerns me and I am sure thousands more is that we still are building Nuclear power plants .. And still have no means of controlling the waste, or what to do if the unthinkable happens…
A lot of what is happening now in Japan over this incident is being swept under the carpet… So many distressing stories i have heard as people have become ill, farmland polluted Animals left to suffer…. and these are just the tip of the iceberg

I watched an old film the other night called ‘Silkwood’ how the employees of the process plants of nuclear fuel rods were exposed and treated and who died with cancer or who were silenced ..

We play with things that we were never meant to play with!

    • Fukishima was big when it was news. Now it’s in the back burner … thanks for some that go back and still talk about and film the after effects.

Sad …. we are sitting on similar situation here. Anything could happen 😦
