Du Pont statement …..

DuPont, a major producer of GMOs and agricultural chemicals under its Pioneer brand, has trained its employees to think of us as the “ignorant masses” who shouldn’t have the right to know what’s in the food we purchase. Here’s a little gem one of their employees posted on Facebook recently (October 2013).

It’s time to take a stand against Big Food and Big Biotech and cut off their funding stream by educating the public about the economic, health and environmental dangers of GMOs.

Americans eat their weight yearly in genetically engineered food, some of it created by companies financing the campaigns against GMO labeling.

Some of these chemical giants have been accused of hiding toxic pollution that has poisoned communities and the environment. Now we are being asked to trust these companies to let us know if genetically engineered ingredients are safe. There has been no government health testing or long term monitoring of the health effects of genetically modified foods, only studies performed by GMO seed companies. If genetically engineered ingredients are good for you, why do these companies want to keep you in the dark? You have a right to know what’s in the food you buy so that you can make the decision for yourself.
