ROSE: LEI CAME IN THIS MORNING TO INFORM JOE HE WILL NO LONGER BE RECEIVING INTRAVENOUS MEDICATION.
THEY WANT TO PUT HIM ON PILL FORM TO GO HOME IN A FEW DAYS. I’M DEMANDING THE ONCOLOGY DOCTOR CALL ME BACK WITHIN THE HOUR TO EXPLAIN WHY THEY WANT TO SEND MY SON HOME WITH A HIGH HEART RATE, LOW OXYGEN LEVELS AND BLOOD CLOTS.
I WANT HER TO TELL ME THAT SHE EXPECTS US TO DO ALL OF THE HOME CARE ON OUR OWN. HE NEEDS AN OXYGEN TANK TO BREATHE. TWICE THEY’VE SENT HIM HOME WITH MEDS THAT WILL NOT WORK BECAUSE HE CANT KEEP THEM DOWN LONG ENOUGH TO ABSORB.
SO MORE CONSTANT PAIN, NAUSEA DAILY, THROWING UP DAILY AND GOD KNOWS WHAT OTHER COMPLICATIONS THAT COULD OCCUR – THAT THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO ADDRESS IMMEDIATELY IF HE STAYED IN THEIR CARE …. ON HOLD AS I TYPE WITH THE HOSPITAL. I’M ABOUT TO RAISE HOLY HELL.
LYD:
Friend: I texted this to you, but my friend suggests you get him enrolled in obamacare, www.healthcare.org . he says that Joe would qualify for a reduced rate and if you do it now, the have to accept him and his preexisting condition. He wont actually get coverage until March though. Regardless, when you tell/show the hospital that he has insurance, they may sing a different tune. They’ll see they’re going to get mucho $$$ if they just hang in there.
- Request free health insurance quotes to find affordable health plans. Federal regulations establish minimum standards for the medical insurance industry in the United States.
Friend:
Damn make sure you give them fucked a piece of attitude. They don’t want to deal with people, so keep pushing forth n make sure they keep him there. Sh*t, if I could give you my Tri-Care prime I would just so he could stay and get treatment. The right fuck*n treatment these fuckers are on some sh*t. Rose if you someone to do some good damage lemme know I got people’s too. We got you back and you and your family is in our prayers! Don’t let them discharge him from the hospital if it was they kid or blood relative they would be fighting to keep them there.

“The Partnership for Prescription Assistance has taken a huge burden off of my shoulders in my constant struggle to pay for my hypertension medicines while living within the means of a fixed income.Relative: In my opinion LEI is a douchebag oncology nurse practitioner who treats people like animals – although I’d never treat animals like she does. She’s the one who assured up Joe would finally be getting chemo TODAY and 12 hours later, asking and pleading for information, she went round and round, never answered the question till I screamed at her – gave Rose a total attitude about how she had other patients – finally with the screaming she answered .. “Oh we stop chemo at 8 PM” – thanks for finally frigging answering bitch. Then another chemo nurse comes in and we mention the 8 PM deadline and she’s shocked and says she’d never heard of that deadline. I swear I’m not a violent person, but she could make me one.IS THIS ALL THAT IT’S ABOUT? A YOUNG MAN’S LIFE IS AT STAKE!!Friend:send me the email address you use most. One of the chicks that donated to Joe is an attorney and it would be great to loop the two of you in. She isn’t licensed in Fla but is wicked smaht, as we say in Boston!Friend:Wow!! You need to report her to the hospital’s administration!! Is there someone called “Patient Advocate” there?? Check that out …. suggestion. They are supposed to be on the side of the patient. What about a social worker???Relative:Well I saw the social worker/advocate too. Though she seemed nice she also seemed ONLY interested in Rose’s progress with medicaid. That’s IT.Friend:So sorry for the treatment you are receiving Rose Hornedo. Joe needs to heal and the energy is so wrong. I am standing for the right people and treatment for Joe and that to put the energy toward this Beotch is not the place to send it. I hope everything can be straighten out and quickly. Saddens me to see that it is about money and not how to best serve you and heal Joe. Time is critical and I send positive light and healing to all involved.ROSE: TY everyone. We now have a sit down meeting next week with the social worker and primary doctor to address all of our concerns, answer questions, give us detailed game plan for next couple of months.~~January 24, 2014 …. 3:30 PM~~ROSE: Wow!! Okay … either the oncology doctor has Facebook and saw these posts or has telepathy! She just called and answered each one of the issues I listed above! She wanted to reassure me and answer all my questions. I told her what I’ve been saying from the beginning: I trust everyone who is on his team except that nurse, and she’s been removed. Hopefully things will go a bit more smoothly now.
This is tragic…..so sad 😥

Yes, it is. He’s stage 4 …..
They are trying all they can. I don’t want to be pessimistic but I can’t have all the hope they have.
I don’t see it turning out ok for the boy!
😦
And they are giving them so much grief …. medical insurance and all. The mom and the partner both work. I don’t know what the financial situation is but I wonder how they will make ends meet. A fund has been started for them …. I think it helps but it will be a drop in the bucket.
