Something to think about …

~~February 15, 2014~~

Kindness is a behavior marked by ethical characteristics, a pleasant disposition, and concern for others. It is known as a virtue, and recognized as a value in many cultures and religions (see ethics in religion). Research has shown that acts of kindness does not only benefit receivers of the kind act, but also the giver, as a result of the release of neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of contentment and relaxation when such acts are committed.

  • According to Book Two of Aristotle‘s “Rhetoric” it is defined as virtue). It is defined as being “helpfulness towards some one in need, not in return for anything, nor for the advantage of the helper himself, but for that of the person helped”.
  • Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche argued that kindness and love are the “most curative herbs and agents in human intercourse”.
  • Kindness is considered to be one of the Knightly Virtues.
  • According to eighteenth century Bohemian philosopher Honza z Žižkova, kindness is the most important part of his practical philosophy on deceiving bureaucracy.

SEO Tip – Tags And Categories On

Important info!!

Don Charisma

You’d have thought I’d know this already, but I didn’t … doh !

I was doing some research into the most popular tags used. I found a WordPress support page that states that your posts will not go into the reader if they have more than 15 keywords (tags + categories). I’d been working on the assumption that more was better … appears not …

Check this out –

I’ve also realised that it’s largely pointless to put a post in category called “photography” and tag it with “photography”. One or the other. The reason for this is that the reader uses both tags and categories. Having said this you might still want to tag it as “photo”, “photos” and “photograph” for maximum exposure in the reader. As far as I can make out these are all considered to be different in the reader.

Other useful advice that I…

To “The Wolf Pack” …..

~~February 15, 2014~~

Once upon a time, through the blogging platform provided by WordPress, a group of people, from all over the world met.

Some would say that is was purely by chance, a coincidence.

I wouldn’t agree. I believe in “synchronicities”.

“Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events as meaningfully related, where they are unlikely to be causally related. The subject sees it as a meaningful coincidence, although the events need not be exactly simultaneous in time. The concept of synchronicity was first described by Carl Gustav Jung, a Swiss psychologist, in the 1920s.

The concept does not question, or compete with, the notion of causality. Instead, it maintains that just as events may be connected by a causal line, they may also be connected by meaning. A grouping of events by meaning need not have an explanation in terms of cause and effect.

I first learned about “synchronicity” while reading the book “The Celestine Prophecy”.

I don’t believe that this group of friends met by chance. I believe that it was meant to happen. And this happened right at the moment when it was supposed to happen.

It so happens that some of the members are very fond of wolves.

They know facts about their existence and their behavior.

“Wolfpack or wolf pack may refer to: Pack (canine), a group of wolves that live, feed, and travel as a family group”

As the relationship in the blogosphere became stronger, we realized that there are common interests, ideas, feelings, values, thoughts, circumstances that bound us together. We bonded. We realized that these were connections that were strong and foresaw that they were long lasting.

~~What is a wolf pack mentality?~~

In nature, wolf packs are less about ferocity and more about order. The complex wolf pack dynamics more resemble those of a teenage clique than a group of wild beasts. Of course, they still stalk prey, such as elk orrabbits, and get into vicious fights with each other, but you’ll discover that these canines follow an incredibly sophisticated group hierarchy.

Wolves naturally organize themselves into packs to maintain stability and assist with hunting. These are often groups of three to seven wolves led by an alpha male and alpha female. From there, the couple’s pups and possibly younger, unrelated wolves comprise the rest of the pack.

In this dog-eat-dog (or wolf-eat-wolf) environment, what’s the prevailing pack mentality? Do they hate each other or simply have a severe way of showing affection?

Get inside a wolf’s mind.

Shaun Gibson …. from …. … somewhere in Scotland.

Life is this easy, we make it hard.

My name is Shaun.

I look at the world and challenge everything we are told. Some live in a ground-hog day existence, I couldn’t live like this.  I am a thinker, I love to get my mind round a subject and try and share it with you, the reader, the best I can. The blog could be about myself, or the world around us, or any other subject, I need to share.

I am disabled with Chronic Pain Syndrome, it gets in the way of my life, but not my mind, or my heart. It won’t kill me, but it is a nuisance to say the least. I live for my family, I also challenge myself every day to push myself to be a better person, to think of others, to help others, and more important, smile and be blessed for all I have.

I am not religious, but I respect anyone’s right to think and believe what they may. Freedom of expression and thoughts is important, as is the ability to accept that other people have feelings and opinions. We must allow others opinions to speak to us, otherwise we turn to hate and intolerance.

Love the people in your life, be happy, stay strong and always fight to better yourself. Some hide away and shy from the world, and live alone and die alone. We all are guilty, as if we reach out, others reach back. I reach out with every blog I do, and people do reach back.

I am humbled by the humanity in this blog.

More love .. less hate!

Patty Wijnants-van Delft …. from …. …. somewhere in the Netherlands.

Hey everybody!

I am Patty and this is my blog about writing, photography and photo editing.

I am not a poet, my writings are more like scrambled thoughts I combine with photo’s I take. And in case you are wondering: yeah, the girl in most of the photo’s is me. It’s hard to find someone who wants to play a model for me, so I’m kinda stuck with myself!

Writing fantasy is my biggest passion. I am working on a Young Adult Fantasy Trilogy, of which the first book is finished and is going to be published in April 2014!

On this blog you will find some of my work and you can follow what I’m up to!

Of course I also love to read books and poetry and I adore music. That’s why I created a new poetry form called ‘Poetrics’,  a combination of lyrics and poetry. You can check it out right HERE.

Hope you like it! Lots of Love, Patty

Jade Reyner … from … somewhere in the UK.

Hi! I’m Jade and I started writing in February 2013 without a clue as to what I was doing. All I knew was that writing a novel was on my bucket list and that having done a Creative Writing course, I felt ready to give it a go.

This blog is my journey and since then I have somehow managed to write not one, but two novels. Twelve Days – The Beginning was published in April 2013 and I have just finished writing the sequel Twelve Days – The Future, which I am hoping to publish in early 2014. There are plenty more projects in the pipeline, and other books in the Twelve Days series. I think you can safely say that I have the bug! I also write the odd bit of poetry which you will see on here from time to time.

I am an impatient soul and so I decided to go down the self publishing route – not least because I am too frightened of rejection letters! This in itself has been a massive roller coaster of a journey but one that I can honestly say, I have loved every single minute of. WordPress is an amazing community and I feel so privileged to be able to share this journey with all of you.

So join me if you dare… it is a bumpy but hugely exciting ride.

Bishop Eddie Tatro …. from ….. somewhere in the USA.

For this life-time I was born on April 3rd at 07:56 EST, to two ungrateful parents. My mother and biological father never married. People wonder why my last name is not Palmieri; it is because my mother’s first husband adopted me after I was born and gave me his name yet he and she didn’t stay together very long (not even 20 months)…and I’m stuck with his name (some days I think about what it would be like to change it to the family name then logic kicks in and says do fathom  what you will have to go through).

I don’t update a lot but when I do actually write be prepared for a novel.

I have had some difficulties throughout my life. During the darkest of my days, I turned to scripting verse. Our Creator has given us all many gifts; I credit my Creator with my gift of verse. My poetry and writing has always been therapeutic to me. I like all human souls have had great trials and tribulations as well as great victories and blessings. I’m happy to say that I’m a published poet a few times over.

This is just a brief introduction on your humble author.

Dr Rex (“Horty”) … from … somewhere in the USA.

This blog was started in March 2013 by Maria H. Rexach-Rivera, MD …. aka Dr. Rex and Horty Rexach, to disseminate “eclectic” information through cyberspace.

I’m originally from Puerto Rico.I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. At this time, I’m happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 …. for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone “out there” who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is “eclectic” – a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion.

Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I’m interested in news – reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse – the “wrongly” affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I’m open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability. We ALL are ONE!! The future looks bright and promising!!!

Wolves naturally organize themselves into packs to maintain stability and assist with hunting, as noted above.

In our case, we organize ourselves together. We hail from all these different corners of the world. We protect our loved ones. We maintain stability, support each other, have each other’s back and love each other. We value our common existence and we are there for each other.

We go through life. We experience trials and tribulations. They can be physical, mental and emotional.

“Where loving arms are open, where one can find a friend, in the warmth of unconditional love, the broken heart will mend.”

That is what this WOLF PACK offers to its members.

We ALL are committed to this WOLF PACK!!

Malawi Muslims Want to Slaughter Gays

M’lord …. I’ve heard about the pendulum cycle in life! But these countries and their rulers/politicians are going back to pre-historic times!!!

By Melanie Nathan, February 15, 2014.

Screen Shot 2014-02-15 at 7.43.53 AMAs the debate on whether to decriminalize homosexuality in Malawi or not rages on, Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) has suggested the need to revise the penalty of those found guilty of homosexuality to be condemned to death. This suggestion comes at a time as some Civil Society Organisations (CSO) are pushing for the country to abolish the statute that penalise the act. Currently the maximum jail term sentence for those found guilty by the courts is 14 years.

This report as it appears in Malawi Muslims Official Website:

MAM Secretary General Dr Salmin Omar Idrussi in an interview  said that ‘‘ though Malawi is regarded as a secular state but the country is blessed with God fearing citizens who can’t afford to deviate from God’s commandments for the sake of pleasing others who practice  the act.’’

Ugandan Scientists Say Homosexuality is an Abnormal Practice That Requires Regulation

They dare call themselves scientists??? Yes, do investigate their background and connections. There IS something behind this. Human rights are being violated left and right!!

AND because of this President Yoweri Museveni says he will assent to the Anti-Homosexuality Bill

By Melanie Nathan, February 15, 2014.

Screen Shot 2014-02-15 at 7.22.42 AM To Show just how serious this science is The Ugandan Press depicts one such Scientists together with his reading material… Didi I see “Christ” on that book?

Findings by a group of Ugandan scientists from Makerere University and government have turned the anti-homosexuality bill debate around, according to the Ugandan Press. The report by Ugandan Scientist’s turned out as expected, ‘from whence it comes’, that gays are abnormal and their behavior is deviant requiring regulation. The Anti-Homosexuality Bill will now because of this report, be assented to by President Musevei.

We all know this is junk science.  The so called scientists reported to NRM Caucus that because homosexuality is an abnormal practice it requires regulation to protect the vulnerable. Perhaps the most glaring flaw in this sub-par report is the…

To start the day …..

~~February 15, 2015~~

I started my day, as always, by coming over to the PC and checking my emails, my Facebook messages and comments and, most importantly, my WordPress “spot”.

I saw a post from my dear friend Shaun, “the lad from Scotland” at

… his post has made me think about friendship.

I started to surf the net and I found these words, graphics and quotes which I’m using in this post to let you know that I consider you one of my BFF’s.

~~What is friendship?~~

Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between two or more people. Friendship is a stronger form of interpersonal bond than an association. Friendship has been studied in academic fields such as sociologysocial psychologyanthropology, and philosophy. Various academic theories of friendship have been proposed, including social exchange theoryequity theoryrelational dialectics, and attachment styles. A World Happiness Database study found that people with close friendships are happier.

Although there are many forms of friendship, some of which may vary from place to place, certain characteristics are present in many types of friendship. Such characteristics include affection, sympathyempathyhonestyaltruism, mutual understanding and compassion, enjoyment of each other’s company, trust, and the ability to be oneself, express one’s feelings, and make mistakes without fear of judgment from the friend.

~~Making a friend~~

~~Three significant factors make the formation of a friendship possible~~

  • proximity, which means being near enough to see each other or do things together;
  • repeatedly encountering the person informally and without making special plans to see each other; and
  • opportunities to share ideas and personal feelings with each other.

~~Friendships in adulthood~~

Life events such as marriage, parenthood, and accelerated career development can complicate friendships in the transition from young adulthood to middle adulthood. After marriage, both women and men report having fewer friends of the opposite sex.

Adults may find it particularly difficult to maintain meaningful friendships in the workplace. “The workplace can crackle with competition, so people learn to hide vulnerabilities and quirks from colleagues. Work friendships often take on a transactional feel; it is difficult to say where networking ends and real friendship begins.” Most adults value the financial security of their jobs more than friendship.

The majority of adults have an average of two close friends.

~~Old age~~

As family responsibilities and vocational pressures become less, friendships become more important. Among the elderly, friendships can provide links to the larger community; especially for people who cannot go out as often, interactions with friends allow for continued societal interaction. Additionally, older adults in declining health who remain in contact with friends show improved psychological well-being.

Although older adults prefer familiar and established relationships over new ones, friendship formation can continue in old age. With age, elders report that the friends they feel closest to are fewer in number and live in the same community.

They tend to choose friends whose age, sex, race, ethnicity, and values are like their own. Compared with younger people, fewer older people report other-sex friendships. Older women, in particular, have more secondary friends — people who are not intimates, but with whom they spend time occasionally, such as in groups that meets for lunch or bridge.
