Now every time you read a pro or con on the Keystone Pipeline, take THAT information into account……
‘You might expect the biggest lease owner in Canada’s oil sands, or tar sands, to be one of the international oil giants, like Exxon Mobil or Royal Dutch Shell’.
‘But that isn’t the case’.
‘The biggest lease holder in the northern Alberta oil sands is a subsidiary of Koch Industries, the privately-owned cornerstone of the fortune of conservative Koch brothers Charles and David’.
‘The Koch Industries subsidiary holds leases on 1.1 million acres — an area nearly the size of Delaware — in the oil sands region of Alberta, Canada, according to an activist group that studied Alberta provincial records’.
‘The Post confirmed the group’s findings with Alberta Energy, the provincial government’s ministry of energy’.
‘Separately, industry sources familiar with oil sands leases said Koch’s lease holdings could be closer to two…
A while back I posted information about this lady politician. I can’t find the link to that post. Another blogger posted today that she ran a primary and won!
~~In the blogger’s own words~~
“‘Susanne Atanus won her primary election for Illinois’ 9th district, with 54% of the vote’.
‘Back in January she made headlines for saying’:
“I am a conservative Republican and I believe in God first. God is angry. We are provoking him with abortions and same-sex marriage and civil unions. Same-sex activity is going to increase AIDS. If it’s in our military it will weaken our military. We need to respect God.”
A Republican congressional candidate from Illinois refused to honor her party’s call for her to abandon the race despite her sudden infamy, the Chicago Daily Herald reported on Thursday.
“I’m not withdrawing from the race,” Susanne Atanus told the Herald. “I don’t know why they are not standing behind me. They should talk to me personally. I will not back out of the race.”
Atanus’ candidacy gained the wrong kind of national spotlight on Wednesday after she expressed her belief that God created autism and dementia and extreme weather conditions to punish the U.S. on account of legalized abortion and the increasing support nationwide for marriage equality.
“God is angry,” she told the Herald. “We are provoking him with abortions and same-sex marriage and civil unions. Same-sex activity is going to increase AIDS. If it’s in our military it will weaken our military. We need to respect God.”
Atanus is running against David Earl Williams III for the right to represent the GOP against incumbent Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL). However, Republican leaders at both the local and state level released a statement on Thursday disavowing her completely.
“Her candidacy is neither supported nor endorsed by the leaders of our party, and she should withdraw from the race immediately,” state party chair Jack Dorgan said in the statement, with Chicago chair Adam Robinson adding that “Atanus is not in any way affiliated with any of our efforts in the Chicago GOP, nor have we ever supported, endorsed, or assisted her in any way at any time.”
Susan Atanus received a total of 12,447 votes after all 338 precincts in Cook County reported in. The other GOP candidate, David Earl Williams III, received 12,012 votes.
Atanus appeared to have a larger turnout from Chicago than in the suburbs, with a nearly 1,000-votes from Chicago voters, according to election results. “Indeed, a recount will happen,” said Williams in an email with The Bugle. But pending a recount in favor of Williams, Atanus is the GOP candidate facing Democratic incumbent Jan Schakowsky in the November general election.
“I am very happy that I won the primary election,” Atanus told The Bugle the day after the primary. “I’m thankful for the voters that voted for me.”
As for the higher turnout from Chicago area voters: Atanus said it was a combination of her message resonating with them and her name recognition on the ballot.
Then turning her attention to Schakowsky, Atanus said the incumbent was a “nothing candidate.” “Schakowsky is pro gay-rights and abortion and that breeds HIV and AIDS,” said Atanus.
Atanus has repeatedly gone on record saying God controls the weather and has put tornadoes and diseases such as autism and dementia on earth in response to gay rights and legalized abortions.

Today I would like to wish a happy 54th birthday to a woman who has always used the power and voice of her celebrity status for social justice. Rosie O’Donnell was born in Commack, NY, the third of five children. She was popular in high school, known to be outgoing and funny. She began exploring comedy with Gilda Radner impressions and took that passion with her to college.
After stints at Dickinson College and Boston University, she left college to build on her promising standup career. She got a slot on Star Search and won several weeks in a row, giving her a national profile. O’Donnell built that opportunity into a series of TV and movie appearances. After 15 years of increasing success, she launched her own daytime talk show. The Rosie O’Donnell Show (I really loved this show) quickly took over, with her outspoken, open personality and sense of…
At the time of this writing, a wonderful person in cyberspace has decided to delete all of his accounts: Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and an incredibly prolific blog.
~~In his own words~~
“Originally posted on Looking for reasoning to a complicated world: Away to chase away a new dream. I will have to say sorry here. I deleted my Facebook, if the group is there, someone can run it. I have deleted my Twitter account and my Skype account and the blog. Deleting my Word Press, thank you all for being decent.
More love, less hate.”
At this moment in time, there isn’t anything to do. I must respect his wishes and hope that he’s doing well. I hope that whatever lead him to make this decision is something that can be corrected. I wish him well and only the best. He is a great friend, a wonderful blogger, an intense person, an incredible human being with a bright soul and a spirit that inspires. There are many “fights” that he has to fight. He seems to need his space now.
I want to say that I will miss him terribly.
Wherever you are, my brother from another mother, know that you have your own spot in my heart. When you are ready to come back, I will be here, as always.
Hoping that you return. Waiting for you!
