Poetry: Erotic Dancer

From my “Lil Sis” … Just Patty …. a wonderful blogger!!

erotic dancer

Erotic Dancer

In the dark she dances

Like no one is watching

Moves her body to the rhythm

With a passion so appealing

The music lifts her soul

Higher and higher

Unaware of the staring eyes

Deaf to the envious whisper

On the stage she dances

Until the morning light

Without shame she gives it all

In a sensual delight

The music clears her mind

She wears her string like armor

Doesn’t care who disapproves

She loves being an erotic dancer

To start the day ….. a Puerto Rican morning!!

~~March 28, 2014~~

This is where I come from!

Puerto Rico, officially the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (Spanish: Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico), is an unincorporated territory of the United States, located in the northeastern Caribbean east of the Dominican Republic and west of both the United States Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands.

Puerto Rico (Spanish for “rich port”) is an archipelago that includes the main island of Puerto Rico and a number of smaller islands, the largest of which are ViequesCulebra, and Mona. The main island of Puerto Rico is, by land area, the largest island of the Lesser Antilles, and the smallest of the Greater Antilles. It ranks third in population among that group of four islands, which include CubaHispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti), and Jamaica. Due to its location, Puerto Rico enjoys a tropical climate and is subject to beautiful weather all-year-round. The national language is Spanish but English is recognized as an official language as well.

Originally populated for centuries by the aboriginal people known as Taíno, the island was claimed by Christopher Columbus for Spain during his second voyage to the Americas on November 19, 1493. Under Spanish rule, the island was colonized while the Taíno were forced into slavery and suffered high fatalities from epidemics of European infectious diseases. Spain held Puerto Rico for over 400 years, despite attempts at capture of the island by the French, Dutch, and British. In 1898, Spain ceded the archipelago to the United States as a result of its defeat in the Spanish–American War under the terms of the Treaty of Paris.

In 1917, the U.S. granted citizenship to Puerto Ricans. In 1948, it granted Puerto Ricans the right to elect their own governor. In 1952, under request by the United States, a local territorial constitution was adopted and ratified by the electorate. Under the tenets of the Puerto Rico Federal Relations Act, Puerto Ricans are still subject to the plenary jurisdiction of the U.S. Congress, and the island continues as a U.S. territory.

I am an American citizen. Puerto Rico is the island in the Caribbean where I was born.

I know the song is in Spanish and some won’t understand. However, the video features the typical Puerto Rican musical instruments. The slides used may help … they all portray what the lyrics says at the moment.

Give it a chance. Enjoy!!

Very interesting information about this historic meeting!! Reblogging from List of X …..

Yesterday, during his visit to Europe, President Barack Obama met for the first time with Pope Francis in an hour-long meeting, which Fox News already called “The Socialist Summit”. Here is the summary of 10 of the things the two world leaders have talked about during their meeting.

1)  The president presented the pope with vegetable seeds in a box made from a reclaimed wood from one of oldest American cathedrals, and explained that if it weren’t for budget cuts, he would have offered Vatican full-grown plants in a brand-new pot.

2)  The pope thanked the president and presented him with a book he had written, to which Obama responded by promising to immediately appoint a Czar in charge of reading…

So it is always the end of March 2014 and with that we are approaching the end of the Wolf Haven International cause

Coincidentally this week is Loboweek so I thought it a good idea to have some attention for this.. I learned about this when I visited the WHI Facebook page which took me to The Wolf Conservation Centre at http://nywolf.org/ which provided the following information.

#LoboWeek – Join the Movement!

On March 29, 1998, 11 captive-reared Mexican gray wolves (Canis lupus baileyi) were released to the wild for the first time in the Blue Range Recovery Area of Arizona and New Mexico. Missing from the landscape for more than 30 years, the howl of the rarest and most unique subspecies of gray wolf, was once again greeted by the mountains of the southwest. This March, marks the 16th anniversary of this…

An expression assuring someone that you are watching out for them. Comes from making sure you are safe by watching what’s behind you when you’re busy looking ahead.

~~The Friendship Song – “Friends are Quiet Angels”~~

~~Uploaded on Dec 11, 2007~~

A while back we got an e mail with a saying that started with “Friends Are Quiet Angels“. As songwriters, we couldn’t pass up such a great idea. We knew it would make a beautiful song and tribute to friendship. “The Friendship Song” expresses feelings for a special friend not only in words, but in music, and beautifully sung by Molly Pasutti.

We’d love to hear from you, leave us a comment!
