At the end of the day …. “Don’t give up”!

~~April 2, 2014~~

The difficulties in life can be great, thought of as insurmountable. Obstacles get in the way and we find no immediate way to get over them. We feel alone and think that there’s no one with us. We have to go through it all by ourselves. The world seems a chaotic place where events leave us wondering what to do, where to go and where we are headed.

We were taught that we can make it, we can win and overcome.

We have friends. We have not been beaten yet. Raise up, like the phoenix, and stay on track. There is a place were we belong.

The goal is to find it!

In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail

No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
I’ve changed my face, I’ve changed my name
But no one wants you when you lose

Don’t give up

‘cos you have friends
Don’t give up
You’re not beaten yet
Don’t give up
I know you can make it good

Though I saw it all around
Never thought I could be affected
Thought that we’d be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn

Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside
As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground

Don’t give up
You still have us
Don’t give up
We don’t need much of anything
Don’t give up
’cause somewhere there’s a place

Where we belong

Rest your head

You worry too much
It’s going to be alright
When times get rough
You can fall back on us
Don’t give up
Please don’t give up

‘got to walk out of here
I can’t take anymore
Going to stand on that bridge
Keep my eyes down below
Whatever may come
And whatever may go
That river’s flowing
That river’s flowing

Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down
For every job, so many men
So many men no-one needs

Don’t give up
’cause you have friends
Don’t give up
You’re not the only one
Don’t give up
No reason to be ashamed
Don’t give up
You still have us
Don’t give up now
We’re proud of who you are
Don’t give up
You know it’s never been easy
Don’t give up

’cause I belïeve there’s the a place

There’s a place where we belong.

We ALL are connected through MUSIC!!

We ALL are ONE!!

Ricky Martin …. take a look at his tattoos!!!

~~April 2, 2014~~

I have been an ardent fan of Ricky Martin since his days with the boy band “Menudo“. He started singing with them as a young boy. I’ve followed his career almost like a “groupie“. I have seen his personal development into the human being that he is today: an awesome entertainer, a father, a proud gay man and an incredible human being.

Enrique “Ricky” Martín Morales (born December 24, 1971), is a Puerto Rican pop musician, actor and author. Martin began his career at age twelve with the all-boy pop group Menudo; after five years with the group, he released several Spanish-language solo albums throughout the 1990’s. He also acted on stage and on TV in Mexico, becoming a modest star in the country. In 1994 he starred on the American TV soap opera General Hospital, playing a Puerto Rican singer.

In late 1999, after releasing several albums in Spanish, Martin performed “The Cup of Life” at the 41st Grammy Awards show, which became a catalyst in bringing Latin pop to the forefront of the U.S. music scene. Following its success, Martin released “Livin’ la Vida Loca” which helped him obtain enormous success worldwide and is generally seen as the song that began the Latin pop explosion of 1999 and made the transition of other Spanish-speaking artists into the English-speaking market easier. The song has sold over 8 million copies, making it one of the best selling singles of all time. His first English-language album (also titled Ricky Martin), has sold 22 million copies and is one of the best selling albums of all time.[5][6][7] His other studio albums include: Me Amarás (1993), A Medio Vivir (1995), Vuelve (1998), Sound Loaded (2000), Almas del Silencio (2003), Life (2005), and Música + Alma + Sexo (2011).

Ricky Martin has several tattoo designs, mainly on his upper arms and shoulder area.

On his upper left arm is a naked woman, decorated in the four elements of nature, air, earth, fire and water. He also has a tattoo of a lovely lotus flower on the inside portion of his left bicep.

The tattoos on his right arm include, a beautiful script design written in the Aramaic language, of the sacred Lord’s Prayer, the design has a wonderful spiral style to it.

On his pelvis is a rather small rose wrapped around a sword, which was his very first tattoo design.

Another tattoo is of the “Om symbol”, which is a scared symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism cultures, representing “Brahman” (to grow).

There’s another colorful one which can be seen wrapping the outside of his right leg.

Enjoy these pictures of Ricky Martin and his interesting tattoos.

How The Supreme Court Just Legalized Money Laundering By Rich Campaign Donors

They didn’t correct this issue??? Where is their sense of justice? When are they going to do their job??? SMH …..

I shouldn’t have been surprised at the Supreme Court decision regarding  McCutcheon v. FEC, but I was, nonetheless.  I was naive enough to think the Court would see it’s mistake in their Citizens United decision and not repeat the same thing in this instance.   I was wrong…

Think Progress

Chief Justice John Roberts begins his opinion in McCutcheon v. FEC with a flourish: “[t]here is no right more basic in our democracy than the right to participate in electing our political leaders.” He then spends the next forty pages explaining why that participation includes the right of rich people to attempt to buy elections. Thanks to the decision Roberts and his four fellow conservative justices handed down today (Though Thomas did not join Roberts’ opinion, he wrote a more radical opinion calling for all limits on campaign donations to be…

Robing singing, butterfly flying at cemetery

Beauty in nature!!

Dear Kitty. Some blog

This video is called Brimstone Butterflies; Gonepteryx rhamni.

Now, a wildlife report.

This time, not from Costa Rica (many more will appear on this blog, but thousands of photos, some good, some not so good, still have to be sorted out. So, please be patient).

Today, I went to the cemetery not far away.

A chaffinch sings.

A wood pigeon flies into a tree.

A blackbird sings.

Two carrion crows in a tree.

Great spotted woodpecker sound.

Nuthatch sounds. One of them climbing on the lower part of a small tree.

A chiffchaff sings.

A jay on a tree.

A brimstone butterfly flying.

Great tit sound.

A robin sings from the top of a tombstone close to me.

Nine magpies together in a treetop.

As I leave, a male chaffinch on the ground.

CIA Lied About Torture To Justify Using It (Senate Report)

CIA tortured!! Any surprise here???

Social Action 2014

*A report by the Senate Intelligence Committee concludes that the CIA misled the government and the public about aspects of its brutal interrogation program for years — concealing details about the severity of its methods, overstating the significance of plots and prisoners, and taking credit for critical pieces of intelligence that detainees had in fact surrendered before they were subjected to harsh techniques. The report, built around detailed chronologies of dozens of CIA detainees, documents a long-standing pattern of unsubstantiated claims as agency officials sought permission to use — and later tried to defend — excruciating interrogation methods that yielded little, if any, significant intelligence, according to U.S. officials who have reviewed the document…* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.
