Congratulations!! So very well deserved … Please, don’t shut down!!
Today I pulled myself out of my nest and checked my email, to find this beautiful new award waiting for me. My friend Martin, of Malvedelos Mindscape has created this award for the WordPress family Blogatorium group on FaceBook, and I have been honored as the first recipient. Suddenly I really AM speechless, a condition that is totally new to me lately. Most of my life I have kept my opinions to myself (stop giggling, I really have) but in the past 15 years I’ve found my voice and used it, not always to my best advantage.
I was actually considering shutting down my blog, since I am fighting an infection that has taken hold of me and doesn’t want to let go, but this has restored my faith in my ability to keep fighting all odds, and keep on sharing my stories and battles with you, my family and…

Many here have expressed interest in the NBA’s investigation of Donald Sterling’s racist remarks. He has just announced a $2.5 million fine, and Donald Sterling is banned for life from all participation with the Clippers, and will recommend to he owners that they vote to force Sterling to sell the team based on the fact that he voice on the tape is Mr. Silver. These remarks are or “contrary to the respect and diversity of the NBA.”
On the eve of the NBA playoffs 10 days ago, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver proclaimed the game in…

A Gulf Sturgeon jumping on the Suwannee River
Just in case you don’t live in Florida and/or have never been to the beautiful and famous Suwannee River and seen this phenomenon in person, please take a look at one of the Youtube videos below.
It is an amazing and exciting spectacle to watch and see happen live.
This oddly beautiful fish looks and acts like few others and seems almost mythical.
Each year about this time, animals everywhere are in the mood for love and the Gulf Sturgeon are no exception to this Spring Ritual.
This annual trip each year, from the warm waters of the Gulf, North to the Suwannee River, is for this Sturgeon, a return to their Ancestral home to spawn.
Once this is completed, they will return to the Gulf of Mexico for the remainder of the year.
There are, of course, signs to warn those new to the area, of…

Feels like home!
Ricky Martin has a ball in Brazil as he films video clip for his upcoming World Cup track Vida.
Ricky Martin was in his element in March, 2014, when he was spotted filming amidst crowds and fanfare in Rio, Brazil.
The 42-year-old was seen shooting his upcoming music video for the song “Vida”, which is part of the World Cup’s official soundtrack.
He had his biggest hit single back in 1999 with “Livin’ La Vida Loca“, but he’s far from a one-hit-wonder having sold over 60 million albums worldwide.
Martin, who got his start in the Latin boyband Menudo, will reprise his role as a mentor on The Voice Australia in 2014 after he debuted on the show last year.
Ricky has a busy few months coming up, as this year’s season of The Voice Australia is expected to start in April, while the World Cup begins in June.

Grammy award winning, multi-platinum recording artist, Ricky Martin, has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide. In his continued success, Martin has received four Grammy’s awards, three Latin Grammy awards, 10 Billboard Music Awards, two American Music Awards and 10 MTV VMA’s.
After spending five years in the spotlight with Menudo, Martin set-off on his own musical path. His self-titled solo album was debuted in 1991.
Martin’s continued growing success of landmark singles, including “Maria,” and his globally embraced 1998 WORLD Cup Anthem “La Copa de la Vida” (The Cup of Life), vaulted him to the level of bona fide global superstar. Martin spent the latter part of the year in 2012 on stage inhabiting Che, the lead role in the Broadway revival of the musical “Evita.” Following his very successful year long run in “Evita,” Martin started another exciting adventure and embarked this time as one of the coaches on the second and third season of “The Voice” in Australia.
In April 2014, Martin launched his television special “SuperSong,” one can find exclusively on Crackle.
“SuperSong” is a song competition for aspiring musicians and fans around the WORLD that gave opportunity for individuals to create a song for the WORLD Cup.
In the same month, Martin launched the video for his latest hit single “Vida.” “Vida,” Martin’s second WORLD Cup song, was released worldwide as a single on April 22, 2014 and will be included in the official FIFA WORLD Cup album “One Love, One Rhythm -The 2014 FIFA WORLD Cup Official Album.”

We ALL are connected through MUSIC!!
We ALL are ONE!!
In a zoo in Thailand, a mother tiger gave birth
to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs.
Due to complications in the pregnancy,
the cubs were born prematurely
and due to their tiny size,
they died shortly after birth.
suddenly started to decline in health,
Although physically she was fine.
The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter
had caused the tigress to fall into a depression.
The doctors decided
that if the tigress could surrogate
another mother’s cubs,
perhaps she would improve.
of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother..
The veterinarians decided to try something
that had never been tried in a zoo environment.
Sometimes a mother of one species
will take on the care of a different species.
The only orphans’ that could be found quickly,
were a litter of weanling pigs.
The zoo keepers and vets
wrapped the piglets in tiger skin
and placed the babies around the mother tiger …
Would they become cubs or pork chops?
Please tell me one more time.

This is something I really need today. I have frequently said that things happen for a reason. I strongly believe that there are no coincidences. There are synchronicities.
“Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events as meaningfully related, where they are unlikely to be causally related. The subject sees it as a meaningful coincidence. The concept of synchronicity was first described by Carl Jung, a Swiss psychologist, in the 1920s.
The concept does not question, or compete with, the notion of causality. Instead, it maintains that just as events may be connected by a causal line, they may also be connected by meaning. A grouping of events by meaning need not have an explanation in terms of a concrete sense of cause and effect.”
It doesn’t matter which stage of life one is on, the reality is that those in a position of power will use it to get what they want/need from those beneath them. There’s a “gene” in the human race which regulates disregard for others. Where is compassion, honesty, concern, integrity, equality and moral values?
My question to life is what do I need to learn from this? Why is this coming my way?
If I feel slighted, what have I done to deserve it? Why doesn’t it go quietly away and let me be? Why does is keep rearing it’s ugly head?
Ah … I got it! There’s something that I need to learn from all of this. Therefore, I need to get in touch with my silence within and know that everything in life has a purpose.
Everything is a blessing.
So I will take it from there!!

The power of the written word …. “Just Patty”!!
When I close my eyes
In front of me
When my soul feels empty
It’s your love
That feeds me
When my heart turns cold
That you are the one
Who’s warming me
When I drown in life
It’s your presence
When I stop breathing
Our love is made
– Just Patty –
This is uplifting too!! Just what I need today …. 🙂

Australia’s new marine parks are a boon for flatback turtles
The value of Australia’s newly established network of marine parks has been highlighted by an international project that used satellites to track the vulnerable flatback sea turtle.
A valuable migration corridor of more than 1,000km in length, tens of kilometres in width and tens of kilometres from the mainland, has been identified by researchers tracking 70 flatback sea turtles by satellite. Tracking devices were attached to the turtles’ soft shells using a flexible harness that detached after about 12 months. A signal depicting the turtle’s position was transmitted in real-time every 10 to 15 minutes as the turtles surfaced to breath, to a constellation of satellites known as the ‘Argos…
