Fox News host Shepard Smith on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, asserted that actor Robin Williams was “such a coward” for allegedly committing suicide.

At the conclusion of a touching special report that aired just hours after Williams died, Smith seemed to become almost angry while thinking about the actor’s children.

I am not going to write anything more. I will let you reach your own conclusions.

This ass-hat has no idea what dealing with depression is.

Here you have it. In video. There’s no way that he can say he didn’t called Mr. Williams a coward. There’s no way of taking it back. In my eyes, there’s no accepting any excuse or apology.

Fox News host Shep Smith on Tuesday asserted that actor Robin Williams was “such a coward” for allegedly committing suicide.

      • I too am upset with such callous comments by people who should know better. The pity I feel is because such a person lives an empty life even though he doesn’t understand what he is missing. An empty heart is a thing to be mourned.

  1. Perhaps he shouldn’t have said it Horty. Many feel this way though. Robin Williams had access to help, he knew he was suffering from depression. Had been for quite some time. He had the means to seek help, he had the intelligence to seek help, he had the resources to seek help. He did not do this. Yes, I understand the issues, both emotional and medical.

Unfortunately, I also understand what it means to those left behind.

    • My believe … anyone can think that. But none should say it … particularly if you have access to millions of people who listen to you.

We should never judge until we walk a mile in that someone else’s shoes, I think …..

      • If I click on it I can, yes. My issue right now is, another young black man is dead at the hands of the police in LA. that is 4 in less than a month.

Robin Williams suicide is getting more press, more attention than the murder of young men by police. I take issue with this.

I am not being ugly Horty. I lost a dear friend who put a gun to his head in my home. He also had access to friends and family. He also had people, friends and family who loved him. He also choose to take his life instead. Suicide is a selfish and cruel choice. Many people suffer from depression, myself included. Many people live their life with great pain, physical and emotional. Many people don’t have the resources Robin Williams had to seek help.

I am not judging. I simply do not understand why every single time I turn on the TV I must hear about him instead of the now four young men murdered by the police. Why is his life of greater value? Why is the pain of his family of greater worth?

      • I see your point. I feel the same way about those teenagers too. I don’t think it’s right that these things are happening.

It hurts my heart that humans do awful things to each other. And I do get your point ….. Yes, the press/media “knows” what to cover. It’s so sad.

I don’t mean to say or imply that you are being ugly. I would never do that.

That’s why I don’t watch that kind of TV shows. I get my info here.
Hugs … always hugs!! Feeling with you ….. ❤
