Yes, it is up to everyone in this generation. We need to remember that MLK depended on local leaders and their grassroots organizations in each city he led civil rights actions.
Historians today are writing books about all of those local leaders….Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth in Birmingham, Amzie Moore in Mississippi, etc.
