Did you hear the news? Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is at it again.

Last night, December 16, the State of Florida sent a request to the U.S. Supreme Court asking them to delay marriages for loving same-sex couples in Florida.

With marriages set to begin on January 6, the decision by the Supreme Court will have a major impact on the day we’ve all been waiting for in the Sunshine State –

the day we get to marry the person we love in the state we call home.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has petitioned the Supreme Court to keep the stay in place here in the State of Florida. Justice Thomas has given the couples who filed the original suit until tomorrow to respond to why the stay should be lifted.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has accepted Pam Bondi’s petition asking to extend the stay on a ruling striking down Florida’s same-sex marriage ruling.

Florida attorney general Pam Bondi is making one last-ditch attempt to extend the hold on marriage equality in Florida past January 5.

Federal district judge Robert Hinkle ruled the statewide ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional in August but allowed time for the state to appeal to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals until January 5. Bondi is now petitioning the U.S. Supreme Court to extend the stay after the 11th Circuit denied a request for extension earlier this month.
