Titi Nilda: Saying goodbye …. with a heavy heart!!

~~January 28, 2015~~

I am getting older, there’s no stopping that. The elders in my family have almost all passed on through the pearly gates. My immediate family: Mother, Father and Brother have all traveled to the other side of the rainbow.

This is my Aunt …. Titi Nilda.

~An angel has gone home~

Sad news …. My dearest Aunt Nilda arrived at the end of her earthly journey. She has started the celestial one …. on way to Source. May her soul rest in peace. She will be sorely missed!

We lost her yesterday. She would have been 94 years old.

She was a like a mother to me … always was and always will be.

When I was 7 years old, my mother was scheduled to undergo open heart surgery. This was a big deal back then. My father, a very wise man, left me in the care of this wonderful woman until the events associated with my mother’s medical condition were resolved.

Titi Nilda took care of me, fed me, bathed me, send me to school wearing a girdle and loved me. I always thought that, if my Mom hadn’t made it through her heart surgery, I would have stayed with her and group up with her own children …. my cousins.

As life would have it, my mother recovered and I went back home.

As the years went by and I moved to the USA, I was closed to where she lived. I was very lucky to be able to re-establish my connection to her.

My loss pales next to the loss of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nevertheless, I’m glad I was able to be close to her as she slowly deteriorated.

I am not complaining that she’s passed. The law of life is such … and we had her for a long time. She had a wonderful and fruitful life and as such we celebrate her. Still the void is still there. I can just begin to imagine how her daughter, son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren feel.

To Carmin: She will always be with all of us …. she’s in your DNA. But most important, she will be in your heart, soul, memories and mind!! She will never be too far away. You will always be able to reach her …. she’s still here with all of us because she lives through us!!!

…… calling all angels calling all angels
walk me through this one
don’t leave me alone
calling all angels calling all angels
we’re tryin’ we’re hopin’
we’re hurtin’ we’re lovin’
we’re cryin’ we’re callin’
cause we’re not sure how this goes …..

We ALL are ONE!!

  2. My mother has passed. She was a wonderful person and I am so happy to see that the picture I took of her at Brio’s is included here in her tribute. I am disappointed that there will be no services for her but this website is lovely. I am sad to see her go but glad to know she is in peace now after her years of struggling. Thank you all for your blessings. My friends and family that want to join me are going Sunday to light a candle in her honor at St Margaret Mary Church in Winter Park.
