Let’s say Israel bombs some targets in Iran.

Before the dust settles, the middle east is in a religious war, with Israel sucking in the United States.

The Saudi’s have nuclear weapons as does Pakistan.

Any nuclear clouds will drift over Russia, China and India. All with nuclear weapons.

All over the wild eyed rantings of Netanyahu who wants OUR men and women  and OUR military to start a war against yet another middle east Nation..

The conclusion from this history is inescapable. Over the course of more than 20 years, Benjamin Netanyahu has made false claims about nuclear weapons programs in both Iran and Iraq, inventing imaginary timelines for their development, and making public statements that contradicted the analysis of his own intelligence advisers’.

‘In 1992, then-parliamentarian Netanyahu advised the Israeli Knesset that Iran was “three to five years” away from reaching nuclear weapons capability, and…

  1. I always try to put myself in the other person’s shoes. It is difficult for an Israeli to trust any country that has it in their platform, that they do not recognize the right of Israel to exist. Israel is a beacon in that part of the world as to how a middle east country can thrive and succeed. Their children including girls are provided an excellent education. Their women do not have to hide by wearing burkas and they can drive, hold positions of power, serve in the military. When you visit Israel, you see a country in which poverty is rare. It is green, clean, well run, economically sound, and flourishing. The second, you walk into other middle east countries, you observe chaos, brown landscapes, beggars greeting you because poverty abounds and where women in many cases are not highly regarded, allowed to have an education, drive etc. It must be hard for some of the middle east citizens to view Israel while observing all their successes in a part of the world that rarely witnesses this. Yet, while the Israelis are people of faith, their faith does not keep them from valuing women and their positive contribution to their society.

I also believe in the two state solution, Israel and Palestine. Both sides have acted with courage and in bad faith in the past and in current times. Both have to respect the right for both to exist and flourish. First you have to believe in this possibility . This is my prayer that this will happen in my life time.

  2. He is truly an elected official. His country is famous for free press and those arguing different points of view and living to shout it from the mountain tops. A lot of people do not realize that he was raised in Israel but his family did spend time in the USA. According to Wikipedia, “Between 1956 and 1958, and again from 1963 to 1967,his family lived in the United States in Cheltenham Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, where he attended and graduated from Cheltenham High School and was active in a debate club. To this day, he speaks fluent English, with a noticeable Philadelphia accent. After his army service, Netanyahu returned to the United States in late 1972 to study architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He returned to Israel in October 1973 to serve in the Yom Kippur War for a 40-day period. While there, he fought in special forces raids along the Suez Canal, as well as leading a commando team deep into Syrian territory. He then returned to the United States and eventually completed an S.B. degree in architecture. in 1975 and earned an S.M.[18] degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1977. …He studied political science at Harvard University.”

When he says that he understands the American thinking, he does. He is the equivalent of the US neocons like Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Paul Wolfowitz.

      • You are so right! Like lemmings, we went into Iraq in 2003.

He showed up in the US to speak before Congress because the upcoming elections in Israel are hotly contested and he may not win. Typically, his popularity in the polls shows an increase when ever he does one of these speeches in the USA. This time is different. In two weeks, we will know the election results.
