Something to think about …. “Governor Nikki Haley”!!

Nikki

~~July 10, 2015~~

GOVERNOR NIKKI HALEY

Today was a very special day for many who fought for the Confederate flag to come down from the Capitol grounds in Charleston, South Carolina.

The precipitating event to bring this to fruition occurred on the evening of June 17, 2015.

A mass shooting took place at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, United States.

Nine people were killed, including the senior pastor, state senator Clementa C. Pinckney; a tenth victim survived. The congregation is one of the United States’ oldest black churches and has long been a site for community organization around civil rights.

Not living there, I’m not privy to the state’s politics, debates and local discussions. I’ve seen this political “personality” on the news recently. I’ve seen her impassioned expressions about the removal of this symbol of hate, racism and slavery.

Come to find out … it’s all a political ruse. She had no option and to “look good” in the many eyes that were watching, she had tried to be a spokeperson to do what was right. HortyRex©

Hypocrite

I’m so sick of Nikki Haley getting so many accolades for undoing something that should never have been done in the first place.

She won the Governorship partly because her opponent wanted to take down the Confederate flag but she supported its presence.

Now she’s talking like this very compassionate person who just wants blah, blah, blah.

Obama to Puerto Rico: Drop Dead

This is a very unjust fight!!! We can’t give up ….. it’s our country!! Someone needs to stand up for its colony!
… AND THE MATCH IS: “Fighting in one corner: Wall Street revenue, the Oppenheimer Fund, broker’s fees, trader’s commissions, churned accounts, and year-end bonuses.
Fighting in the other corner: the human rights of an entire island, the last colony on earth.”

THE LAST COLONY ON EARTH ….. “Master”, you throwing us to the curb?

WAR AGAINST ALL PUERTO RICANS

War Against All Puerto Ricans: Revolution and Terror in America’s Colony

In October 1975, US President Gerald Ford told Mayor Abe Beame that he would extend no assistance to the City of New York, and that he’d veto any congressional bailout funds for New York City. On October 30 the New York Daily News published one of its most famous headlines:

Now 40 years later, Pres. Obama is telling Puerto Ricans the same thing, with one major difference.

It is much more unjust.

Unjust because Puerto Rico is not the financial and media capital of the world.

Unjust because Puerto Rico is a US colony.

Unjust because by 1930, Puerto Rico was already a factory worked by peons, fought over by lawyers, bossed by absent industrialists, and clerked by politicians – Uncle Sam’s second-largest sweatshop.

Unjust because the US controls Puerto Rico’s shipping, banking, currency, international trade, consumer prices, currency, import/export quotas, judicial code, and legislative authority.

Unjust because, unlike every…

The Puerto Rico problem

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT READ FOR PUERTO RICANS …..

“Puerto Ricans have become too important to offend. Alongside electoral maths, there is another reason why mainland politicians may be reluctant to talk too much about Puerto Rico. It involves guilt. America is proud to be a superpower that never built an empire. But Puerto Rico was, in essence, grabbed as a colony in 1898, after a brief war ended four centuries of rule by Spain (islanders went from being “fervently Spanish” to “enthusiastically American” within 24 hours, grumbled one of the vanquished Spanish commanders at the time).”

Yes. Yet another article about “The Puerto Rico problem,” but I couldn’t bear to include only excerpts, so here is the full article—see link to the original in The Economist below. Very interesting, indeed.

POLITICIANS do love a morality tale. Just ask the Greeks. American political leaders, in common with so many around the world, relish casting Grecian agonies as an Aesop’s fable for modern times (pitting northern European ants against Mediterranean grasshoppers). That makes it striking—and revealing—that mainland political bosses seem reluctant to sermonise about a debt crisis much closer to home, in the autonomous American territory of Puerto Rico.

The island’s governor, Alejandro García Padilla, last month conceded that public debts of $72 billion are “not payable”. For politicians on the right, Puerto Rico’s fall looks like a ready-made parable. It is a tale of big government and policies that look kindly but instead trap the poor in…

Independence for St. Martin Foundation Condemns Forced Deportation of Dominicans of Haitian Descent

“It is with great regret and outrage that the Independence for St. Martin Foundation (ISMF) has been following the unfolding human tragedy in the Dominican Republic brought about by a misguided decision of that country’s highest judicial entity, the Constitutional Court in 2013.”

In its meeting of June 30, 2015, the Independence for St. Martin Foundation (ISMF) decided to make the following statement condemning the denationalization and forced deportation of thousands of Dominicans of Haitian descent.

It is with great regret and outrage that the Independence for St. Martin Foundation (ISMF) has been following the unfolding human tragedy in the Dominican Republic brought about by a misguided decision of that country’s highest judicial entity, the Constitutional Court in 2013.

The origin of this decision has been lost completely in the ensuing furor it has caused. Mrs. Juliana Dequis Pierre, born in the Dominican Republic of Haitian parents, appealed to the Constitutional Court to reinstate her fundamental human rights in her bid to obtain her identity and electoral cards, which confer on her the Dominican nationality. In other words, contrary to what the government of the Dominican Republic is claiming, this whole issue…

1. South Carolina’s Confederate flag is coming down today
On Thursday, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) signed a law removing the Confederate battle flag from the Statehouse grounds, marking the end of a legislative battle that began last month in the wake of the allegedly racially motivated Charleston church shootings. The flag, which many consider to be a racist symbol, will officially come down from its post at the Capitol building at 10 a.m. ET today.

Honoring the “Charleston9” …. “Confederate Flag comes down Capitol grounds, Charleston, SC”!!

~~July 10, 2015~~

THE DAY THE FLAG CAME DOWN IN SOUTH CAROLINA

As the confederate flag is taken down from the Capitol grounds of Charleston, South Carolina, it’s important to honor the “Charleston9”.

This event shouldn’t be remembered by the perpetrator.

The nine victims should be honored and remembered … by name.

I’ve been seeing way too much coverage of the terrorist rather than of the victims, which isn’t right, so I made this. Went more realistic to get more of a resemblance, and all information is based off what I could find on the internet. Hopefully it’s all accurate, if something isn’t, please tell me.

Such a horrible event.”
