Donald Trump Throws Out the 14th Amendment

“Even if he doesn’t win, Trump has already incited an angry debate.”

Never have witnessed how low some in this country can go.
“It is painful to envision what a Trump presidency will mean for Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, and Latinos in general. Single-handedly, President Trump will throw out the U.S. Constitution, persecute Latinos, and create historic levels of racial animosity.”

The 14th Amendment reads as follows:

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and the state wherein they reside.

This 14th Amendment was ratified in 1869 and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1898 (US v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649). In that case, the Court gave citizenship to the San Francisco-born son of Chinese nationals, and set the judicial precedent which still exists today.

For 146 years, birthright citizenship is the law of the land. In one sentence it looks like this:

                                        U.S. BIRTH = U.S. CITIZENSHIP    

It is that simple and clear.

But Donald Trump wants to throw out the 14th Amendment.

He doesn’t say how he’ll do it…he just will…in order to “make America great again.”

  1. Here is the rest of the story which the former Florida Governor Jeb Bush alluded to but stopped himself from continuing on this subject. A major portion of undocumented parents who have babies born in the U.S.A are well off (rich) Asians.There is a tour industry and set of clinics designed for this purpose. The parents do not remain in the U.S.A. and they return to their home country after giving birth. They are not receiving any U.S. government babies until their children become college age. Then the parents who can well afford the tuition are able to have their children apply to top notch US colleges where they are virtually assured that their children will be admitted because many are good students. Also, the colleges desire diversity of cultures on their campus. This is beneficial to these rich parents because the competition to gain entrance into top rated universities in their countries is extremely competitive, even for good students.

    In short, the major transgressors of planning deliberately to have a child born in this country, for the child to have the benefit of U.S. citizenship are not from Mexico.
