The MilitantNegro SoapBox™: What If…

Excellent question …. what if?
“Our planet is in serious trouble and if you can’t/won’t/don’t see this, then we as a society & humanity are already doomed.”
….. serious trouble indeed!!

About Dr. Rex

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. Have lived in Florida since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability. Currently working on an enterprise whose main mission will be to bring peoples of all walks of life together. To be one .... since we ALL are ONE!! The future looks bright and promising!!!

  1. If we found ourselves in a world without violence, hatred and prejudice, we would no longer be on planer Earth. We all have a duty to make this world a better place for all of us but we have to fight against greed, selfishness and evil. It is almost impossible to isolate oneself from all of this garbage even though we may try. I find it ironic about how we point out other countries’ human rights’ shortcomings when we have so much of our own stuff to correct from too many guns. too many violent crimes, too many with racist impulses being fed by the likes of Donald trump, corporate greed at the expense of our middle class, more peoples in prison for non violent crimes than any other country, etc., etc. We lead all the developed countries in infant mortality rates.

      • I remember a time when I was young when I could go out to play for hours without worrying. I would come home for lunch, and then dinner, and then I would get ready for bed. As a young teenager, I was able to take the bus with my friends to go visit museums, do shopping and see shows in the city without giving it a second thought. Words like the customer is always right, meant something. For me, it is worse. For our Black brother, it is better but there is still a long way to go.

  2. This does get depressing and I worry about our blogging friend. He is obsessing on things like a conspiracy theory. Incidentally he has not been reblogging any of my work which he has done consistently for years. This concerns me only because this is out of the norm of what he has done for years which means I have somehow annoyed him but I am clueless as to what I could have done.It could be almost anything.

I will ask him about this later after he has had a chance to truly recover.

    • I’ve stayed in touch with him through here and Twitter. He seems ok with me … our friendship, I mean. Do ask him … he’s know for states of mood.
He’s a very special man but kinda complicated. Keep me posted …. hugs!!

      • I have just confronted him on this issue on this same blog under his name. I decided not to wait. He was the first blogger to support me in 2012 when I was absolutely clueless. I kind of miss him.

No one has to reblog anything but it is just that he has been doing this for years and so I worry when anyone departs from their normal routine. It means something but I just don’t know what it is.

      • According to our friend, it just meant that he wasn’t interested in the blogs’ content material which is fine with me as long as it is not for a personal reasons or because he is upset with something I may or may not have done. Of course, he is now irritated with me for daring to question him about this. Oh well!!!

Thanks for lending me your ear but all is okay.
