RELAXING AND RECOVERING
New Smyrna Beach, Florida
For a while I’ve had pain of both feet.
I do have arthritis, which is par for the course as the years keep rolling by … faster and faster.
Last Friday morning, September 11, I underwent a surgical outpatient procedure. In and out within one hour.
It’s called “tarsal bones exostectomy“.
It’s a simple procedure, performed at my podiatrist’s office. A small opening, insertion of a special drill, shaving of the spurs and extra bone formation and … voilá … wrap the foot and wear the special shoe.
I’m able to walk carefully.
Have to keep it dry all the time.
Showering needs a special plastic boot to cover all of this.
Relaxed during the weekend and now I’m back home for my usual routine.
Follow up appointment next Thursday.
All is well.
Will need left foot done too …. soon.

A dear blogger friend taught me this concept.

~IN HER OWN WORDS~
“IOTD” is image of the day, a concept I came up with. I teach visual meditative therapy – or in easy terms – a mini mental holiday. For some people it is very difficult for them to get their image right. I post an image a day for people to use in their mini mental vacay. Someare serious, some are silly, and some are just beautiful!”

You do know that ALL Native people have an extra bone in their feet. Found out as a child about mine, but did not know why until now!

My Mom took me to the Dr. when my ballet shoes were not fitting correctly. He x-rayed my feet and said, “she has an extra bone in her feet!”
Now I know why~
