IOTD …. Image of the day, #368 …. “A Hippie Gandhi …. Badly Needed Today”!!

~~October 26, 2015~~

Could we bring him forward in time?

His leadership and his strong personal beliefs are badly needed in the world we live today.

(This graphic reminds me of John Lennon

… another unique human being).

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi ( 2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was the preeminent leader of the Indian independence movement in British-ruled India. Employing nonviolent civil disobedience, Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.

The honorific Mahatma (Sanskrit: “high-souled”, “venerable”) — applied to him first in 1914 in South Africa — is now used worldwide.

Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err.

It passes my comprehension how human beings, be they ever so experienced and able, can delight in depriving other human beings of that precious right.

A dear blogger friend taught me this concept.

IOTD” is image of the day, a concept I came up with. I teach visual meditative therapy – or in easy terms – a mini mental holiday. For some people it is very difficult for them to get their image right. I post an image a day for people to use in their mini mental vacay. Some are serious, some are silly, and some are just beautiful!”
