Adele, Drake and Lionel Richie Have the Most Ridiculous Phone Conversations with Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres  is so popular, she gets phone calls from Adele, Drake and Lionel Richie …. all within the matter of minutes.

At least that’s how it looks in a must-see spoof on Thursday’s episode, October 28, 2015, of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Adele might have a throwback flip phone in the music video for “Hello,” but DeGeneres tops her with an old-school device that belongs in a 1980’s time capsule. The only problem: her reception isn’t that great, and she can’t understand what the singer is saying.

Ellen deadpans – and that’s just the beginning of the ridiculousness.

Before we know it, DeGeneres is getting another call from Drake, who has a familiar complaint you’ll recognize from his new song “Hotline Bling“.

Just when DeGeneres thinks this crazy phone session is over, Richie calls with a pertinent question.

If Ellen doesn’t spoof your music video, did you really even make a music video? Her latest spoof project was Adele’s record breaking “Hello” music video and she did not disappoint.
Adele’s “Hello” video is beautiful, cus duh it’s Adele, but Ellen managed to spice it up with a little help from Drake, Lionel Ritchie, and some potato chips.
In the spoof, Ellen gets a call from Adele on this ancient 80’s phone and proceeds to talk to Adele except instead of her talking back, snippets of Adele’s video are used to carry on the convo.

If the first thought that came to your mind when listening to Adele’s new single “Hello” was, “How would Lionel Richie – whose 1984 song by the same name landed him two Grammy nominations – react?” then you’re not alone.
