#ProtestNaled … When injustice becomes law, rebellion is duty!!
In Puerto Rico, people are extremely concerned about an aerial fumigation plan (with Naled, a pesticide) that threatens a variety of animals, insects, and various endangered species—not to mention humans. This forced fumigation has galvanized the population on the island, where several protests have already taken place. Numerous warnings against the use of the pesticide have gone unheeded and the Center for Disease Control has already sent a shipment to the island. This morning, El Nuevo Día reported that Puerto Rico’s Governor Alejandro García Padilla “does not know” where the Naled is stored and that he is still weighing the final decision about the fumigation.
