Puerto Rico pulled out all the stops to celebrate Monica Puig – who brought home the island’s first Olympic gold medal in Rio – along with the rest of the Olympic delegation.
After receiving a hero’s welcome on Saturday the moment she stepped foot on Puerto Rican soil, Puig joined the rest of the country’s athletes and presented the gold medal to the jubilant crowd.
