MI HAMACA

(my hammock)

I remember the sweet dreams I had in many of these.

You can have them in many patterns, with many colors and designs.

This one is very detailed and very special.

It has my country’s flag and my country’s name.

I can vouch for them.

They are incredibly comfortable.

Memories!

A hammock is an object used for sleeping or resting.

It’s made of a mesh made with fine string which is attached to two fixed spots.

The origin of the word “hamaca” comes from the language of the Taínos.

Type of hanging bed, 1650’s, alteration of hamack, hamaca (1550’s), from Spanish hamaca, from Arawakan (Haiti) word apparently meaning “fish nets” (compare Yukuna hamaca, Taino amaca).

The forms of the word in Dutch (hangmat) and German (Hangmatte) were altered by folk-etymology as if it meant “hang-mat.”
