Hillary Clinton: taking Boricuas for suckers in Florida

“If Puerto Rico fails, this forces more Puerto Ricans to move to Florida – and to New York, North Carolina, Arizona, Texas – where they become Democratic voters in the 2016 presidential election. In other words … Obama, Clinton and the Democratic Party would actually benefit, if the Puerto Rican economy sinks into the Caribbean.”
… at this point I can say I’m not voting for Trump … I’ve lived in Florida since 1999. SMH …

WAR AGAINST ALL PUERTO RICANS

War Against All Puerto Ricans: Revolution and Terror in America’s Colony

I do not support Donald Trump.

But this not alter the fact that Hillary Clinton – and the entire Democratic Party – are taking Puerto Ricans for suckers in the 2016 election.

Clinton took massive campaign contributions from hedge funds that own the “public debt” of Puerto Rico.

She lobbied for the PROMESA bill.

She perpetuated the conditions that forced hundreds of thousands of Puerto Ricans to move to Florida. And now…those Puerto Ricans will vote for “Hillary” next week.

They will swing Florida for Hillary Clinton…and this critical Puerto Rican vote…could put Hillary in the White House.

This is not a “theory.” It is being reported around the country, right now.

A BITTER PILL TO SWALLOW

This is a painful irony.

It is further evidence, of the perverse position of Puerto Ricans in US society…a position which forces us to

  1. Dear Horty,

Here is where I depart from Mr. Denis thinking. If I am right in speculating, it is the Hispanic vote in Florida that will have helped Hillary Clinton win the White House. The PR community in an important swing state is becoming a power house and will be in a position to demand better for PR. Now neither side of the aisle can afford not to listen. It would be helpful for PR community to have leaders running for elected positions.

PR has every right to be angry at having been taken for granted but not at the expense of not recognizing a shift in power and seizing upon this opportunity to have PR treated better.

    • I’ve had mixed feelings about his post. I think that not the Hispanic community … but rather the Puerto Ricans living in Orlando … believe me, this is PR land! .. who will vote for her overwhelmingly. I do wonder is anything good will come from any administration …. one thing I don’t like about Pres. Obama and Hillary is that the voted for the PROMESA bill … that’s a big warning sign as far as helping the Island … I’m hoping for the best though.
      Hugs, dear friend … ❤

      • Dear Horty,

They may have supported the PROMESA Bill. This does not mean that the Jones Act can’t be repealed. It is easy to argue that the PROMESA Bill will not be effective by itself in a country suffering from an economic recession. There will have to be steps to grow the PR economy. Doing away with the Jones Bill would be helpful. Establishing PR as an enterprise zone to help start new businesses is another idea. The mistake would be to look at the PROMESA Bill as the end of the story instead of the beginning.

Don’t forget that when HRC wins in Florida she will know that PR voters in Orlando helped her to get there. She cannot afford not to pay attention.
