Caribbean and Latin roots celebrities like many Hillary Clinton supporters across the nation are taking to social media to express their stunned disbelief at the results of the Nov. 8, 2016 election.

“Today I was silent. Tonight I joined my community to peacefully demonstrate. Tmrw we try to work together. Forever, I choose love,” said actress Monica Raymund, who currently plays Gabriela Dawson on the NBC drama ‘Chicago Fire’ and whose roots extend to the Dominican Republic.

“I can barely speak,” said Trinidad-roots actress Tatyana Ali, best known for her role as Ashley Banks on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, on Twitter. And she added that 20 million people are going to lose their health insurance.
