ON THE WAY TO THE FINALS
I’m not really a baseball fan.
I didn’t know this championship was taking place until my dear friend Martin, from The Netherlands, made me aware.
Since then, he’s been keeping me informed and then I go look for info.
Last night was a very important game in many ways.
The main one for us, out countries were going head to head!
He told me …
“In 12 hours we know who plays final.
Good luck Puerto Rico, may the best ball player win!”

Puerto Rico Defeats the Netherlands (4-3) to make the final of the WBC
Puerto Rico has defeated the team from the Netherlands on an 11-inning sacrifice fly from Eddie Rosario to reach the final of the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
It is the second tournament in a row in which the island’s team reaches the final, having lost the championship to the team from the Dominican Republic in the 2013 tournament (0-3). It now awaits the winner of the second semi-final between Japan and the United States, which will be played tomorrow.

Keep me posted!! Here’s hoping too … all fingers crossed … it would be the 2nd time in history that a Caribbean nation would be champion. I really would like PR to beat the USA!!
