LGBTQ Americans Won’t Be Counted in 2020 U.S. Census After All

LGBTQ advocacy groups are outraged after proposed questions regarding sexual orientation and gender identity were quickly removed Tuesday, March 28, from a just-released draft of the 2020 U.S. Census.
The U.S. Census Bureau, which is part of the Department of Commerce, is required to issue a list of categories it plans to track three years before the survey is conducted.
Advocacy groups have been campaigning for years to include questions about sexual orientation and gender identity, and were briefly elated when the 2020 Census draft was released. But hopes were dashed when the proposed addition suddenly disappeared, and a statement was issued by the Census bureau that called the LGBTQ inclusion a mistake.

It Is What It Is 
The first thing I noticed about your blog was the title, “It is what it is.” I love that because accepting reality is the best place to start with everything. The Trump Administration and today’s Republicans response to reality is paranoid. They have scrubbed official government websites of important facts and data that we need to know. One thing I do know is, all the people I’ve known in my life that can’t handle reality are dangerous. Being informed and making intelligent choices is something sociopaths cannot allow because control is everything to them. I think Mike Pence is behind most of the Paranoid Social Engineering in the Trump Administration.

In my lifetime, I never imagined this could be happening. Not even when he started down that elevator. Many times I lack the words to express my feelings about his/their continued actions & idiotic decisions.
I don’t think any of them are worthy of the positions they hold … yes, it is what it is! Yet, we need to keep informed, as you say, and follow the stories.
I’ve found that humor makes it a bit easier. That’s one of the many things that I like about your posts.
I have this thought … when you don’t earn respect, you gain disdain, scorn & mockery.
