This is how Obama made the nation and the American citizens “suffer’!
The sentence I hear most from well-meaning, conservative friends since President Trump’s election is this: “We suffered 8 years under Barack Obama.”
Fair enough. Let’s take a look.
The day Obama took office, the Dow closed at 7,949 points. Eight years later, the Dow had almost tripled.
General Motors and Chrysler were on the brink of bankruptcy, with Ford not far behind, and their failure, along with their supply chains, would have meant the loss of millions of jobs. Obama pushed through a controversial, $8o billion bailout to save the car industry. The U.S. car industry survived, started making money again, and the entire $80 billion was paid back, with interest.
While we remain vulnerable to lone-wolf attacks, no foreign terrorist organization has successfully executed a mass attack here since 9/11.
Obama ordered the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden.
He drew down the number…

Mild-mannered university professor, poet, and Chinese dissident, Liu Xiabo, has passed away from liver cancer. He was also the recipient of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize for his “long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China”. Serving an 11 year prison sentence for “subversion”, even facing death, he was kept locked away in a hospital under the watchful eyes of guards. Mr. Liu was a human rights defender and was repeatedly incarcerated throughout his life for his passionate beliefs. Even when he wasn’t in prison, he was kept under the most severe restrictions and surveillance. After the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen Square student protest, ended in bloodshed and tragedy, Liu and other activists successfully negotiated the safe passage of hundreds of demonstrators saving their lives. Yesterday I posted information about this hit single and included the music video. Since then I have found plenty of covers and parodies.
This is one which is very special.
To think that this song is covered by 2Cellos!!
“Despacito” (English: “Slowly”) is a single by Puerto Rican pop artist Luis Fonsi featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee from the former’s upcoming studio album.
On January 13, 2017, Universal Music Latin released “Despacito” and its music video, which shows both artists performing the song in the La Perla neighborhood of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico and the local bar La Factoría.
The song was written by Luis Fonsi, Erika Ender and Daddy Yankee, and was produced by Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo

There are countless versions and parodies of the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Despacito” up on YouTube in every language. But this instrumental version by 2Cellos may be the most impressive yet.
The duo’s Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser covers the Latin hit with no accompaniment whatsoever, alternating their cellos through the melodic lines, rhythmic bass and percussion patterns of “Despacito” effortlessly.
The video, shot in what appears to be a storage room, ends with a rousing sing-along with Sulic and Hauser showing off their vocal chops after killing it on the strings.

Signed to Sony Masterworks since 2011, they have released four albums and play instrumental arrangements of well-known pop and rock songs as well as classical and film music.

No intention of taking credit.
If anyone knows the owner of any, please advise and it will be corrected immediately.
