DISNEY NIGHT

“YOU’RE WELCOME”

It was Disney Night on Monday, October 16, Dancing With the Stars and Jordan Fisher brought some real Disney magic to the dance floor, earning the first perfect score of the season!

Fisher – a former Disney Channel star himself – couldn’t have been more excited to hit the stage with his pro partner, Lindsay Arnold, for an foxtrot set to Fisher’s own version of the song “You’re Welcome,” from the Moana soundtrack.
The Polynesian-themed dance, complete with palm trees surrounding the stage, was a perfect showcase for Fisher’s talent and Arnold’s stunning choreography.

One of the most impressive aspects of the song came during Lin-Manuel Miranda’s verse, during which Jordan and Arnold added modern dance elements to what had been a largely traditional foxtrot, giving it a unique twist.

ATTACKING A GRIEVING WIDOW

THIS IS SHAMEFUL

The video speaks for itself.

I’m sure many of you are aware of this shameful controversy. The widow and the family deserve respect and honor.

There’s no excuse or condoning of the actions of the awful, unworthy occupant of the Oval Office.

Zakaria proposes ‘grand bargain’ on Puerto Rico’s debt

That I know … “Hurricane Maria may offer the single greatest opportunity to rebuild the island — but it will take a grand bargain to pull it off” … I hope my fellow-people are aware of this unique opportunity!!

Repeating Islands

A report by Melissa Mahtani for CNN.

Fareed Zakaria floated the idea of a “grand bargain” between the federal government and the people of Puerto Rico to resolve the country’s economic crisis.

During his ‘What in the World’ segment of his weekly show on Sunday, he explained how the deal could work.

“The federal government should commit a large, multi-year, multi-billion dollar program of investment, should restructure Puerto Rico’s debt and repair the island’s infrastructure.”

“In return, after conditions get normal, the leadership of the commonwealth should also make some difficult economic reforms” he said.

Zakaria pointed out that many of these reforms have already been proposed by economist Anne Krueger. They’re geared to making the island more business-friendly to bring back jobs, increase the tax base and stop the outflow of people.
Krueger’s proposals include reducing the cost of electricity and repealing the Jones Act, which has…

JLo Partners With Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF to Help Puerto Rico

JLO.Untitled

Marissa Armas (NBC News) writes that Jennifer Lopez is partnering with Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF in an effort to raise funds for Puerto Rico, which is still suffering massive devastation a month after Hurricane Maria tore through the island.

JLo was selected as the 2017 face of the campaign, which strives to have “kids help kids” by collecting donations big or small throughout the month of October and as kids trick-or-treat on Halloween night. The funds from this year’s campaign will focus on children around the world affected by recent natural disasters, including Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Caribbean.

A spokesperson with UNICEF USA said a portion of the funds will be donated to help kids on the island who may have lost everything.

“While conditions in Puerto Rico remain challenging, UNICEF USA is there, working to support children and families as they rebuild,” said Michelle Centeno, who manages…
