Dr. Ben Carson, formerly a pediatric neurosurgeon, is the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Trump administration. Dr. Carson was, by all accounts, an excellent surgeon, but as I have mentioned before in this blog, he should have stayed in the medical profession and out of politics.
Yesterday’s news, widely reported among the media, floored me – a jaw-dropping moment. It turns out that Dr. Carson has a plan … a plan to raise rents on subsidized housing, in some cases as much as 300%. It Is What It Is 
I heard this on the news last night. Declaring war on poverty does not mean killing off the poorest of the poor. This Administration doesn’t have a clue…..how could they? They all have silver spoons up their butts. Or perhaps they know exactly what they are doing and simply don’t care.

I was so disgusted to hear this on the news. Honestly, anyone taking over a social work agency, like HUD, needs to go live in HUD housing for a month and live off a social security check only…they would get their eyes opened really fast as to just how difficult it is for the working poor.
