Oh wow…I did not realize that was a real Time Magazine cover….I caught it going around Facebook with what turned out to be a fake quote attributed to Khrushchev. I seem to recall something about a fake Time magazine cover meme generator and assumed someone created it there and just did a really good job.
Time Magazine was purchased in November last year by Meredith Corp. For those that might not know….Meredith Corp is owned by the Koch brothers. I guess we will be seeing a President Pence shortly….

Nope. Apparently there were several similar fake quotes that popped up during the 1950’s and 1960’s, probably propaganda related, during the Cold War. The gist of them was a threat made by a Russian leader against the U.S. and its people.
I use a lot of memes but they are popular as hell and thus useful for propaganda. I tend to do some fact checking on them as a result. 😉
