Cost of attending the Met Gala: $30,000 per person (or $275,000 per table) And that’s just the price of entry. Add a gown by a designer—which can cost some $35,000—and jewelry, and you’ve got a heck of an expensive evening. Personally, I wouldn’t take the trouble to get dressed and go there, for these are undoubtedly some of the ugliest clothing creations I have ever seen in my life! Give me a $20 pair of Levis and a $10 t-shirt and I’m happy. Who in their right mind pays $35,000 for a dress?
