I must say that I was quite hopeful that this document would to something to remove the ‘squatter in the White House’.
As we all have seen it hasn’t. There are plenty of reasons why this hasn’t happened and, frankly, I don’t think it will. I must confess I haven’t read it and I don’t think I will. I don’t believe the majority of citizens are going to read it. There’s too much going on.
I do follow the news through my favorite shows and hosts.
Hence, here’s a condensed version where the bullet points are described.
Hollywood is coming for President Trump once again
In a new video from NowThis, Robert De Niro, Stephen King, Martin Sheen, Laurence Fishburne and more stars tag-teamed to explain former special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation into whether Drumpf obstructed justice during the 2016 presidential campaign.
The video, released Thursday, June 20, features its famous participants highlighting various findings from Mueller’s report, including allegations that his campaign had more than 200 contacts with Russian operatives and that his manager met with Russian agents in order to secure the presidency.
“In 2016, the Russian government attacked our democracy,” De Niro says, launching the conversation, followed by comments from Sheen, Fishburne, King and more.
The video also shows older clips of Drumpf dismissing Mueller’s investigation by claiming his report proved “total exoneration,” “complete vindication” and “no collusion.” But the celebrities aren’t convinced.
“Donald Drumpf, if you are listening, on behalf of the American people, we will hold you accountable,” they say in tandem. “Because no one, not even the president of the United States, is above the law.”
Exclusive: Robert De Niro, Rob Reiner, Sophia Bush, Stephen King, JVN, and more are cutting through the Trump administration’s lies about the Mueller report.
In US news and political news, celebrities including Rob Reiner, Sophia Bush, Stephen King, Jonathan Van Ness (JVN), Robert De Niro, Laurence Fishburne, Kendrick Sampson, Chrsitine Lahti, Martin Sheen, Rosie Perez, and George Takei sat down with NowThis News to cut through the Drumpf administration’s lies about collusion and obstruction of justice as a result of the report by Robert Mueller.
Drumpf has repeated no collusion, no obstruction over and over since the release of the Mueller report and the subsequent Robert Mueller testimony (at the famous Robert Mueller press conference).
Drumpf has said no collusion so many times you could make a no collusion remix. But Drumpf collusion is easy to see according to these stars and the Mueller report itself.
Migrant Children Imprisoned in Texas Detail Border Patrol’s “Level of Inhumanity”
“We’ve seen the worst conditions that we’ve seen in the last three years of conducting these visits.”
Clara Long, a researcher with Human Rights Watch, joined the coalition during their visit to Clint and detailed her experience at the facility for her organization’s site:
While we were denied access to speak with children quarantined in special cells for those with flu at Clint, several infants held in South Texas facilities were admitted recently to a hospital, after the intervention of doctors and lawyers. Children at Clint told us they don’t have regular access to showers or clean clothes, with some saying they hadn’t been allowed to bathe over periods of weeks and don’t have regular access to soap. The U.S. government argued in court on Tuesday that its obligation to provide “safe and sanitary” conditions does not require it to provide kids with hygiene items such as soap or toothbrushes.
The lasting effects of the mental and emotional trauma to the detained children caused by their mistreatment, San Francisco-based child psychoanalyst Gilbert Kliman told AP, could be long-lasting.
Weed has become a major news generator these days….not the old stuff but the move to legalize around the country.
We think of weed as a product of the 60s, the Hippies, and the counterculture…..but actually the herb has been used way before those long hair hippies came around…..
Archaeologists have unearthed the earliest direct evidence of people smoking marijuana from a 2,500-year-old graveyard in western China. In a complex of lofty tombs in the Pamir Mountains—a region near the borders of modern China, Pakistan, and Tajikistan—excavators found 10 wooden bowls and several stones containing burnt residue of the cannabis plant. Scientists believe heated stones were used to burn the marijuana and people then inhaled the smoke as part of a burial ritual, the AP reports. “It’s the earliest strong evidence of people getting high” on marijuana, said Mark Merlin, a botanist at the University…
HE: I believe in God in every respect, but I don’t expect to understand His will. God is in music. I believe that the great composers speak to us about their experience of God. This is not nonsense. For me, Bach is a constant.
