There’s a series of outfit changes which J-Lo accomplished that bear merit and mention.

Pictures are louder than words.

Enjoy this gallery!!

The brand’s intricate designs were especially prominent when the musician removed her pink skirt, revealing the studded leather chaps and bodysuit she had on underneath, to perform “Get Right.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it took Versace 400 hours to embellish the look.

Following her epic Super Bowl LIV halftime show, the 50-year-old singer kept the celebration going with a bash of her own.

The State of the Union Address (sometimes abbreviated to SOTU) is an annual message delivered by the President of the United States to a joint session of the United States Congress at the beginning of each calendar year in office.

The message typically includes a budget message and an economic report of the nation, and also allows the President to propose a legislative agenda and national priorities.

I’m thinking tonight’s SOTU will be anything but … it will be a circus where the current occupant of the Oval will boast, gloat, preen, crow, relish and rub in the fact that the GOP Senate have bestowed on him authority and powers like never before.

German Superstar Hans … “🎊 Announces 2020 Campaign With A BANG! …. AGT: The Champions 🎊 …. “!!

~~February 4, 2020~~

I’ve been following ‘America’s Got Talent, the Champions’ since it started. I’m behind in the recorded episodes but last night I caught the show in real-time.

Hans is an amazing entertainer. Not the usual but unique in style and presentation.

Take a look!!

Hans is running for the top job. Good luck to anyone who can compete. The German cabaret performer blew into the semis of AGT: The Champions Monday night, February 3, for a spectacular, high-camp performance.

Opening at the podium for his ‘Vote Hans’ campaign, with more pink glitter and streamers than a Pride Parade.

“It’s time to make America glitter again”, he declared.

Compatriot Heidi Klum was so excited she pressed the dreaded red buzzer by mistake.

“Look, I shouldn’t have loved that, But, I did love it”, Simon Cowell admitted.

‘Moments before My Halftime Show’ …. “⚡️ Pure, Prepared, Primed, Prized Performer ⚡️ …. “!!

~~February 4, 2020~~

I’ve been a J-Lo fan for a long time.

She has been part of my life since she burst into the entertainment world. I’ve seen her succeed, fail, achieve and grown as a woman, mother and human being.

Watching this somewhat private moments before her awesome achievement of performing the halftime show gives me the chills and my heart beats with pride and joy for such a representative of my country.

It fills me with happiness that she embraces her dual origins with a strong attitude of just being!

Like mother, like daughter!

Jennifer Lopez shared a sweet moment with her 11-year-old Emme Maribel just minutes before performing the Super Bowl LIV halftime show at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

In a behind-the-scenes YouTube video shared by López, 50, on Monday, February 3, the doting mom of two kisses her daughter before walking out onto the football field together.

Something to Think About …. “🤔 Spanish: the Oldest Non-Native Language Spoken in the U.S. 🤔 …. “!! …. “

~~February 4, 2020~~

I’m so sick and tired of this frequent American attitude about those who speak a different language, mainly Spanish.

I moved to Florida in 1999. I’d live in Puerto Rico all my life before that. I was educated in an American, Catholic private school where all my lessons, with the exception of Spanish (of course) were taught in English. My textbooks were in English in school, high school and medical school. All the official documents in the Island were in English.

I considered myself fluent on English because plenty of times it proved to be beneficial.

It wasn’t until 1999 when I realized that many Americans I came in contact with resented the fact that a group of us would speak in Spanish when Hispanic people were congregated. As a ironic aside, they surely didn’t mind when the went to get their nails done and the lady workers spoke any other languages!!

They sure minded when Spanish was spoken!!

Spanish is a beautiful language.

Spanish or Castilian is a Romance language that originated in the Iberian Peninsula and today has over 483 million native speakers, mainly in Spain and the Americas. It is a global language, the world’s second-most spoken native language, after Mandarin Chinese and the world’s fourth-most spoken language, after Mandarin Chinese, English and Hindi.

For gawd’s sake, do yourself a favor: open your minds (if you have a rational one) and think of speaking other languages (whichever they may be) as a positive not a negative. Have an open mind and try to better yourself. Show intelligence not ignorance! Be a bigger person and realize that there are plenty other things other than what you actually know that you can learn:

be open to different cultures, customs, races, people.

Always keep in mind that there were other people in this nation before the ‘white Europeans’ took over.

This will surely make you a better individual in so many ways!

Off the soap box!!

2020 Vote–Iowa

If this is is what it takes …. as long as the ‘Orange Fool‘ is defeated!! … ‘A Biden-Warren ticket (or a Biden-Anyone ticket for that matter) will result in a second Trump Term in November. A Sanders Nomination will mean a Trump defeat in the General.’ … #VoteBlue

In Saner Thought

The first official vote of the 2020 election……

Let us begin with the GOP vote for it will be the easiest to report…..

President Trump held a rally in Des Moines last week, though the outcome of Monday’s Republican caucus in Iowa was never in doubt. In contrast to the Democratic caucus, where results were delayed by “inconsistencies,” it took just seconds for Trump to become the projected winner, the Week reports. The president, who came second to Ted Cruz in the state last time around, won with around 97% of the vote, Politico reports. Former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh, whose campaign manager complained that his supporters were being turned away from precincts, had 1.4%, and former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld had 1.2%. “Big WIN for us in Iowa tonight. Thank you!” Trump tweeted.

Now for the long awaited Dem vote…..

Democrats were in disarray Monday night after the…

‘It’s not a turkey call’: The cultural significance behind Shakira’s meme-worthy ‘tongue thing’ at the Super Bowl

Like much of Shakira’s widely heralded performance, which was full of nods to her Colombian and Lebanese heritage, the seemingly random trill actually carried deep cultural significance. To those familiar with Middle Eastern culture, the sound was akin to a traditional Arabic expression of joy and celebration called a zaghrouta.

A report by Allyson Chiu for The Washington Post.

The head-turning moment came minutes into Sunday’s Super Bowl LIV halftime show.

Grammy Award-winning singer Shakira had just launched into her hit song “Hips Don’t Lie” when she abruptly leaned down toward one of the cameras at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., stuck out her tongue and let out a high-pitched, warbling cry.

The Internet instantly exploded with reactions to the unexpected ululation and its accompanying tongue action. Some viewers were perplexed. Others ridiculed the 43-year-old singer, creating countless memes that likened her to a gleeful turkey, a petulant toddler and characters from Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob SquarePants” cartoon, among a host of other unflattering comparisons.

It didn’t take long, however, for many to point out that the mocking images and commentary were in poor taste.

Like much of Shakira’s widely heralded performance, which was full…

At the Super Bowl halftime show, Jennifer Lopez lived the American Dream

TRUE THAT!! … ‘“Do we have to make everything about race?” Maybe you should stop asking that question. There’s no making. In America, everything is about race. This country promises an equality it has not yet achieved.’ … and more!

Repeating Islands

Screen Shot 2020-02-03 at 10.15.22 PM.png

A report by Chris Richards for The Washington Post.

There are at least two ways to experience a Super Bowl halftime show, and the first is easy: Let it razzle your retinas and dazzle your eardrums for a dozen overwhelming minutes of your averagely-whelmed life, then go heat up another plate of jalapeño poppers.

The other way isn’t much harder, but it does require you to remember that this annual pageant of friendly melody and celestial laser light is the most widely experienced musical performance in our nation each year, which instantly makes everything about it feel significant, and sometimes even profound.

So when Jennifer Lopez and Shakira stormed the field at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens during Super Bowl LIV on Sunday night, they made it work for both kinds of viewers.

For the razzled-and-dazzled, there were armies of dancers pretending to be soldiers, and cheerleaders, and…
