RICARDO BURRO = RICHARD BURR”
You’d think this would be unbelievable, right? … ‘With an election on the fast track … and PRESTO … the plan has been announced!’
Sure as heck there’s so much more to it! Would ‘the people’ fall for this ruse again?
There has been a lot of talk about the plan for cash payments to help in this time of need…..direct payments to the citizens…..we know one thing for sure if anybody will get bailed out of this crisis it will be corporations and billionaires……bug it sounds good to say that the people are their number one priority……sorry but I kinda doubt that……
With an election on the fast track……..and PRESTO…the plan has been announced!
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Thursday presented the third part of the legislation intended to help the economy recover from the pandemic, built around payments of $1,200 to anyone with an income up to $75,000. The amount of the payment would decline as household income neared $99,000. There would be a $500 check for every child in the family, the Hill reports. The direct payments, backed early by Sen. Mitt Romney and Treasury Secretary…

Check the meaning for ‘MARTIAL LAW” … how close is it upon this nation?
‘Martial law is a law administered by the military rather than a civilian government. Martial law may be declared in an emergency or response to a crisis, or to control occupied territory.’
My fellow blogger and friend John at https://linesbyliming.com/ has been writing about this inevitable consequence of this raging virus.
Whenever something big happens in this country there will always be those that see detention camps and martial law.
Well we have something big happening now….that damn virus that is raging across the country as well as the world.
The first question some have asked was will this virus cause Americans to lose civil rights?
First think back a couple of years…..
Chances are you don’t remember Kaci Hickox, but in 2014 she was a household name. Back then, when the world was gripped by fear of another aggressive virus — in this case the deadly Ebola disease — she was an American nurse who went to Sierra Leone to treat the sick. Her return to the US made headlines, caused her to clash with two governors, and eventually led to…

I live in Florida and this is beyond galling! For me, this is on Ron de Santis hand, the Gov!! … ‘Spring break is this week and the beaches in Florida are pretty full. Millennials have given us another reason to look down our noses at them. They’re not taking this seriously and maybe like Trump supporters, they haven’t accepted the reality yet that this is going to hit them. But they’re doing something much more dangerous. They’re risking exposing themselves…and the ones they love. Youth is wasted on the young. You feel invincible when you’re young. I did.’
Everybody is stressing out over this pandemic. The concern goes beyond getting sick ourselves, or our loved ones being stricken with Covid-19. We’re worried about life as we know it. We’re worried about our income, homes, jobs. We’re worried about so much more than running out of toilet paper. We’re worried about being able to buy food and if food will be available.
At the beginning of this week, businesses started to shut down voluntarily. On Tuesday, state governments were ordering closures or limits on service. Here in Virginia, restaurants, no matter how large they are, are limited to ten customers in their building at a time. This hurts. People in the service industry will be the first to suffer. Already, unemployment numbers are coming in that are huge. We had a stock market crash. Now we’re having an employment crash. This isn’t fear mongering or predictions of doom. This…

My dear … we’re always in synch!! … ‘Well-meaning friends suggest from time-to-time that I tune out for a few days or even … gasp … a week! But, I cannot. I am who I am, and I am very concerned these days about what is happening behind the scenes in Washington, what are they doing that is not being reported because the media is so wrapped up in the coronavirus and the stock market?’
Whew … the news cycle these days is nuts. Much of what’s found on the news is repetitive, but one must sift through it to find the nuggets. Then, when you find the nuggets, they just make you growl. Well-meaning friends suggest from time-to-time that I tune out for a few days or even … gasp … a week! But, I cannot. I am who I am, and I am very concerned these days about what is happening behind the scenes in Washington, what are they doing that is not being reported because the media is so wrapped up in the coronavirus and the stock market?
Keeping secrets from us …
Predictably, unemployment claims are overwhelming the system in some states where restaurants, bars, indoor malls and entertainment centers have closed down. In Connecticut, for example, 30,000 claims were filed between Friday evening and Tuesday, compared with a total of…

DE SANTIS DROPPING A HUGE BALL HERE
I really have no words. The governing members of the GOP ranks are really selfish, vile, evil, greedy and fools. They think they are invincible.
Here’s a prefect example of the Drumpf’s ‘MiniMe’ in Florida, the state where I happen to live.
Nearly 40% of those hospitalized with coronavirus are younger than 54: CDC
As many spring breakers are still seen ignoring social distancing on the beaches of Florida, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is saying more younger people than initially thought are getting seriously ill due to the novel coronavirus.

‘Get off the beach’: Florida’s governor under pressure as images of crowded beaches go viral
The golden sands along Florida’s coasts have long been one of the state’s greatest resources, helping Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis oversee a tourism mecca that brings in more than $40 billion a year. But as the coronavirus pandemic halts American life, those same sun-scorched beaches, and the crowds they draw, are currently at the heart of some of the harshest criticism aimed at him.DeSantis has avoided issuing a statewide mandate to close the beaches in Florida, instead showing deference to local municipalities to make that decision. On Thursday, March 19, 2020, during a visit to a mobile coronavirus testing facility in South Florida, DeSantis issued his strongest condemnation of spring breakers partying on the beach.

Earlier in the day, Pinellas County leaders stood by their decision to keep county beaches open despite concerns. Officials held a phone call Wednesday afternoon to talk about those concerns regarding beaches. Shortly after the call, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page that the beaches would stay open.
