Trump is building his wall – just not the one he promised.
The Lincoln Project is an American political action committee formed in late 2019 by several prominent Republicans and former Republicans. The goal of the committee is to prevent the reelection of Trump in the 2020 presidential election.
We have seen this before, remember? After the bible photo-op plenty of ‘little green men’ appeared. They had no insignias, no identifying tags, no names. The rumor was that they were AG Barr’s ‘secret force’.
It’s happening again in Portland, Oregon.
You need to pay attention. It could be a ‘dress rehearsal’.
Federal law enforcement officers deployed tear gas during protests in Portland on Friday, July 17, 2020, police there said, marking the latest clash between protesters and federal authorities who were recently sent to the city to quell unrest. After days of conflict between protesters and federal authorities, Portland police said Saturday they would not allow federal authorities to use their command center.
Friday marked Portland’s 50th night of protests, which erupted after George Floyd’s death at the hands of police in Minneapolis. Under an executive order from Trump in June, federal agents have been deployed to protect federal monuments and buildings in cities such as Portland, Seattle and others. Additionally, the federal courthouse in Portland is under their jurisdiction.

Mike Pence attempted to scare the public by claiming,
“You won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America.”
The reality is that Mike Pence and Donald Trump have put our nation in greater danger than ever before.
The latest footage of the Secret Police, AKA Trump’s Gestapo in Portland shows just how far we have fallen. Trump threatens freedom. Trump threatens democracy. Trump threatens America.
We lost a GIANT last night … “Throughout his 34 years in Congress he fought for human rights, for civil rights … for your rights and mine … for our children’s and grandchildren’s. He spoke out loud and clear in favour of LGBT rights, national health insurance, gun regulation, and has often been called “the conscience of Congress.”
Last night, right around midnight, as I had just finished writing and scheduling my Saturday Surprise post and was in the process of responding to comments, a breaking news flash crossed my screen that took my breath, caused me to utter aloud, “NO!”, and broke my heart. Congressman John Lewis had died.
There are few people alive today who deserve the title ‘hero’ in every sense of the word. John Lewis was one such person.
When President Obama awarded John Lewis the Medal of Freedom in 2011, he said …
“Generations from now, when parents teach their children what is meant by courage, the story of John Lewis will come to mind — an American who knew that change could not wait for some other person or some other time; whose life is a lesson in the fierce urgency of now.”
#GoodTrouble …. “‘Get in trouble. Good trouble. Necessary trouble. Make some noise.’ In these times, this hero’s voice will be sorely missed – meaning the rest of us will have to make even more noise.” … You will be sorely missed, Sir!!
My friend and former newspaper colleague Laura Hutchison wrote today, “I had the honor of meeting Rep. Lewis when he was our Herblock lecturer in 2017. I took these notes during his speech: ‘Get in trouble. Good trouble. Necessary trouble. Make some noise.’ In these times, this hero’s voice will be sorely missed—meaning the rest of us will have to make even more noise.”

But, all and any help is greatly appreciated and it helps keep me going. Think of me like a street performer busking…
I found this article earlier this morning as I was scrolling through the vasts terrains and lands that is the internet. As I watched, my mind traveled to the time when mysterious naked statues of the FIDIOT squatting n the Oval appeared overnight.
At least these do not subject the viewer to an imagined nakedness of the emperor who has no clothes. The reality of these, I believe, is even more important. They depict acts that he has shown to all the citizens.
These, to me, bare more of this ‘soul’ (if he has on, something I really doubt) because they portray his lack of integrity, honor, knowledge, empathy. Even though he appears clothed in these …
Living statues were installed around Washington, D.C. on Friday depicting Trump as a “destroyer of civil rights and liberties.”
A group of artists known as the Trump Statue Initiative is behind the installations, including one that depicts Trump holding up a Bible while Black Lives Matters protesters are beaten and another showing him telling a masked child to “go back to school” while holding a golf club.
“The concept is that the history he’s painting of himself right now, where his narcissistic or racist or self-serving moments abound, this is what he’s leaving us with,” filmmaker Bryan Buckley told The Hill.
Buckley, who was nominated for an Oscar this year, curated the three installations that went up around D.C. on Friday.
The third is placed in front of Trump’s D.C. Hotel and shows Trump holding a teddy bear and watching Fox News in a bunker. Trump was briefly taken to an underground bunker amid protests near the White House in May, although he later said he was inspecting it.
“We’re hoping with this initiative, we will inspire other street performers, other artists to follow suit, whether across the country in swing states or conventions, that we really start to show these moments in statue form that show what we’ll be living with if Trump wins reelection,”
LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS … ” “All that’s required is to pull out our ear buds and turn off our camera phones and listen to the sounds, pleasant and troubling alike, that the universe provides, including most especially its silence.” – Fenton Johnson, At the Center of All Beauty: Solitude and the Creative Life (W. W. Norton & Company, March 10, 2020).

“Understanding the Goycott can be difficult if you’re not Latino – or even if you are Latino, but not fortunate enough to be Mexican American or Mexican. That subgroup, with roots south of the border, makes up more than 60 percent of the U.S. Latino population.” …
it’s also very important to Puerto Ricans, I myself am Puerto Rican. I grew up on these products!! Mu home is now a Goya-free household!! … #BoycottGoya … #Goycott …
It’s easy to have a knee-jerk opinion about what I’m calling the “Goycott.” It’s harder to fully understand the controversy.
The Goycott is the threatened boycott by Latinos of Goya Foods, the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States.
Notice I said “Hispanic” and not “Latino.” Don Prudencio Unanue and his wife, Carolina, migrated from Spain to Puerto Rico and then to the United States, where they founded the company in Manhattan in 1936. The Spanish are considered “Hispanic” but not “Latino.” That seemingly minor detail will become important later on in this story.
Understanding the Goycott can be difficult if you’re not Latino—or even if you are Latino, but not fortunate enough to…
These new special-edition products will only be available through Election Day, sources say.
Many wondered whether a straight-faced Robert Unanue, Goya CEO, was being sarcastic or not when he declared in the Rose Garden that America is, “truly blessed… to have a leader like President Trump” But Unanue seemed to tip his hand when he compared Trump, a deranged sociopath liar, to his Spanish immigrant grandfather who’d founded the company.
Any doubts about that were to put to rest today, when the company announced a new line of wickedly sneering products that seems certain to derail any potential Goycott.
