A Navy Veteran Had a Question for the Feds in Portland.

They Beat Him in Response.

The veteran said he wanted to ask the officers whether they felt their actions violated the Constitution. Video shows them tear-gassing him and smashing his hand with baton blows.

Christopher J. David had largely ignored the protests in downtown Portland, Ore., but when he saw videos of unidentified federal agents grabbing protesters off the street and throwing them into rented minivans, he felt compelled to act.

Mr. David, a Navy veteran, said that federal agents’ use of violent tactics against protesters, without the support of the mayor, the governor or local law enforcement, was a violation of the oaths that agents take to support, uphold and defend the Constitution.

And so, on Saturday, he took a bus downtown to ask the officers how they squared their actions with that oath.

Heroes fight for America. Trump fights against it.

Christopher David is a true American hero. He sacrificed for the United States in the Navy and was within his constitutional rights to join the protests in Portland. On the other hand, Trump has unlawfully sent federal forces to Portland to attack American citizens.

As the election nears, and Trump’s poll numbers continue to tank, his tactics will get more destructive as he launches an assault on the American people.

We must honor true heroes like Christopher David, and follow his lead and stand up to Trump and make it clear that #EnoughIsEnough!

The Lincoln Project just released a doctored video of Trump’s interview with Fox News anchor Chris Wallace, dubbing it “Trumpfeld” to mimic the hit comedy sitcom show Seinfeld.

On Tuesday, The Lincoln Project, a group of anti-Trump Republicans and independents co-founded by George Conway, husband to presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway, parsed excerpts from Trump’s recent interview with Wallace and overlaid them with laughing effects and music.

“To the best of my knowledge, we’re sitting at the White House,” the ad begins followed by laughter sound effects.

“I must tell you,” Wallace appears to say, to which Trump interrupts, “No, I’m just telling you. And the Oval Office is right behind me.”

The video depicts the president oddly answering the anchor’s questions and a confused Wallace prompting laughter with corrections.

Journalists John Heilemann and John Battelle have launched a new politics-focused media outlet ahead of the 2020 elections.The outlet, called The Recount, will be video-driven, featuring short videos that summarize what is happening in the news.

The idea for The Recount was hatched in late 2018, a spokesperson for the organization said, but Heilemann and Battelle started seriously ramping up and recruiting staffers in the Spring.

So far, more than a dozen employees have been hired to work at the company.

I read a column yesterday by someone working for a media company who elected to take a cognitive test. In writing about it, his two concerns were his employer might freak out and he may have scored lower than Donald Trump had on his cognitive test.

The writer was concerned his concentration and focus had decreased and at times while speaking, he’d say a word in place of a word he really meant, like “guitar” for “cartoon.” I’m using those two examples because I’ve done that. To pass a cognitive test, you need to score a 26 to be considered “normal” with the highest score being 30. He was concerned because he messed up two questions and Trump claims he had a perfect score. Who wants to be less cognitive than Trump? If that’s the case, you may want to seek serious medical attention.

As a retired medical professional, I totally understand and endorse the use of masks. At this moment in time, the information, many symptoms and presentations of COVID-19 continues to be in flux. That’s the way of science.

I totally understand also that every individual has rights. It’s been long said that your rights end where mine begin.

THINK ABOUT THAT!

I’ve also seen this response on social media:

“Next time you’re going to have surgery, ask your surgeon to avoid the use of his mask while the surgery is underway.”
