This weekend left me flabbergasted … “Trump’s ‘executive orders’ last week, how he has overstepped his authority, shredded the Constitution yet again, and all for naught, for nothing he did is likely to help very many of the people who need help the most. He is all pomp, no substance, as is proven by the fact that rather than sign these orders in his office as would have been appropriate, he took them to his country club to sign them in front of a group of rich, old, white men sipping wine who applauded enthusiastically, for they have no horse in this race.” … please take a look!
I’ve been doing some thinking about Trump’s ‘executive orders’ last week, how he has overstepped his authority, shredded the Constitution yet again, and all for naught, for nothing he did is likely to help very many of the people who need help the most. He is all pomp, no substance, as is proven by the fact that rather than sign these orders in his office as would have been appropriate, he took them to his country club to sign them in front of a group of rich, old, white men sipping wine who applauded enthusiastically, for they have no horse in this race.
Today I happened across a piece written by a freelance writer, Joel Mathis, writing for The Week, that I thought covered the matter well, so I am sharing it here today.
I was never a detailed political observer. I will never forget 2015 … ‘marriage equality’ became the law of the land. That was under the administration of the first ‘black president in American history’. How I miss those days when I didn’t know the names of cabinet members, reporters, journalists … those were the days, my friends.
I was able to legally marry the love of my life!
OUT AND PROUD!!
Times have changed. It’s been said … you have to vote as if your life depended on it because it does. For us LGBTQ folks, this more real and our rights depend on this outcome!
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with ‘Vote Proud’ an organization dedicated to increasing voter turnout in the LGBTQ+ community.
Special thanks to Barbra Streisand and Bruce Roberts for your collaboration!

250,000 bikers in the small town of Sturgis, population 7,000 … no masks, no social distancing! What could go wrong? …
“These people are risking a lot of lives for their politics. They’re risking lives for Trump, lies, and conspiracy theories. Herman Cain did the same thing. Ask him how that worked out.”
Bikers For Trump are just like all organizations for Trump. They should all merge under one name. Stupid People For Trump.”
The annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally kicked off this week in South Dakota and there are fears the event will be a “superspreader” event for the Trump Virus.
Sturgis is a small town with a population of around 7,000. The biker rally has brought between 500,000 to 700,000 people to Sturgis in the past though this year, it’s estimated to be much smaller at around 250,000.
Even though Donald Trump’s Tulsa hate rally was a disappointment of 6,000 attendees when they were expecting 100,000, that’s still too high of a crowd to be mingling in during a pandemic. Ask Herman Cain. The 250,000 currently in Sturgis is even worse as masks and social distancing are not required. In case you’re a Republican, 250 is greater than 6.
Apparently, most bikers are conservative in their politics. I think it’s safe to assume any attending Sturgis this week are pro-Trump. They’re not wearing…
Amazing blogger photographer I follow!! … “There is a gentleness and an elegance to the Burmese people, and the role that Buddhism plays in everyday life is very evident.” – Steve McCurry
‘This is Burma’, wrote Rudyard Kipling. ‘It will be quite unlike any land you know about.’

Despite being a historically significant figure as well as a highly billed character, King George III is removed from the central events of Hamilton, having no direct interactions with any of the other characters.
Instead, all of his songs are comedic solos with verses musing on events from a distance and voicing his bewildered incredulity at the massive changes taking place in the colonies and, subsequently, the United States.
“Clever lyrics, your inner Lin Manuel Miranda in full display, and of course, great singing! Can’t be easy for an entertainer to be in lock-down for 6 months, but your creative spirit is lifting ours time and again.”
Jason Momoa Restores Wife’s 1965 Ford Mustang, Her First Car
Car restorations are always a breeze to watch; however, when one includes Game of Thrones and Aquaman star Jason Momoa, his beloved wife, actress Lisa Bonet, and a car that is as attractive as both of them, it just becomes a treat both for your brain and eyes.
Bonet bought the car when she was just 17, the actress is 52 now.
On an Instagram post, Momoa wrote, “… this is 14 years in the making. I wanted to surprise my wife with her first car she ever bought and bring it back to life and into our family.”
Momoa posted a YouTube video where he went to great lengths to restore his wife’s first car – a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang.
A people that few Americans know anything about. A people that most Americans could care less about mainly because they are Chinese and Muslim.
Despite an official ideology that recognized them as equal citizens of the communist state, Uighurs have always had an uncomfortable relationship with the authorities in Beijing. In 1933, amid the turbulence of China’s civil wars, Uighur leaders in the ancient Silk Road city of Kashgar declared a short-lived independent Republic of East Turkestan. But Xinjiang was wholly subsumed into the new state forged by China’s victorious Communists after 1949, with Beijing steadily tightening its grip on the oil rich territory. Its official designation as an “autonomous region” belies rigid controls from the central government over Xinjiang, and a policy of settling hundreds of thousands of Han Chinese there that has left the Uighurs comprising a little less than…
