The Lincoln Project …. “🇵🇷 Marc Anthony: ‘Never Forget‘ 🇵🇷 …. “!!

~~October 30, 2020~~

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I’m a proud ‘Boricua’, will always be. I’ve been living in the mainland since 1999. It was with immense horror that I saw that huge monster develop and become what will be forever known as Hurricane María.

I know my Island, I know my nation. I knew what that Category 5 hurricane would do to Puerto Rico, an island that is 100 miles long and 35 miles wide!!

I watched in helpless horror as the images started coming out showing the destruction, the damage it left in its wake. I knew what my people there would experience – no power for months, no roads repaired, long gas lines, long grocery lines … the slow deterioration of the daily routine.

Then I saw the FIDIOT, who squats in the Oval, throw useless paper towels at Puerto Ricans who where there to ‘adore’ him.

Then, in early 2020, the Island was hit with a series of repetitive, persistent and destructive earthquakes … still to this day! I say:

#NeverForget … #NeverForgive

Just days before Election Day, a new ad has Latin music singer Marc Anthony urging over 4 million Puerto Ricans living in the mainland U.S. who are of voting age “to send Trump a clear message. … I urge all of you to join me and vote him out.”

“We remember the lies. We remember the disrespect. We remember you left too many of us to die,” the Puerto Rican artist said, in reference to Hurricane Maria, the deadliest U.S.-based natural disaster in 100 years, which led to the deaths of at least 2,975 people in 2017.

Hurricane Maria was a deadly Category 5 hurricane that devastated DominicaSt Croix, and Puerto Rico in September 2017. It is regarded as the worst natural disaster in recorded history to affect those islands and was also the deadliest Atlantic hurricane since Mitch in 1998.

The tenth most intense Atlantic hurricane on record and the most intense tropical cyclone worldwide in 2017, Maria was the thirteenth named storm, eighth consecutive hurricane, fourth major hurricane, second Category 5 hurricane, and deadliest storm of the hyperactive 2017 Atlantic hurricane season.

A vote for Joe Biden is a vote for Puerto Rico. We must never forget Trump’s inactions led to the loss of over 3000 American lives.

Thank you, Marc Anthony for being a voice for the Puerto Rican community and a #LincolnLatino.
