A NEW YEAR

First time I write the date above. It’s generally a promise of the ‘new’, starting again with a clean slate, new ideas, new promises, new goals.

So many new things. 2020 was a trying year in so many ways.

Let us not fool ourselves that we are out of the woods with the mere change of ’20 to 21′.

Let’s keep the promise of a new beginning and the new hope.

There’s a lot to get done! Best intentions!

New Years Day–2021

Another year and another chance for the world to learn humility and stop killing each other…..but will they?

This will be my only post today for the family gets together on New Years Day for a meal of corned beef, cabbage and black eye peas and probably some cornbread….of course with distancing…..

It is good that I have  huge piece of land that we can be together without being too close….

I would like to wish all my regulars and all those that visit occasionally a very Happy New Year and I hope that 2021 will be a good year for us all.

But the great news we will survive (is that Donna Summer singing in the back of brain?)

Michael Gerson addresses Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley’s plan to object to the certification of Joe Biden’s electoral college victory in his most recent column for The Washington Post.
