#GregAbbotIsAnIdiot … “Greg Abbott has lifted the mask mandate which is an appeal to everyone who has politicized the virus or doesn’t believe it actually exists. This is also a good way to get people to stop talking about the freeze in the state last month where at least four million people lost power and many lost their lives. The state is still trying to count the deaths with some saying it was around 40 statewide while other officials say there were 86 deaths in Austin alone.”
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who is working hard to be even worse than Rick Perry, has decided the coronavirus pandemic is over and life can return to normal for Texans, or at least for those who didn’t die from the virus or freeze to death from last month’s abnormal cold snap.
The governor has reopened the state entirely without any limitations. This means you can sit at a bar inches next to a stranger. You can get a tattoo of Troy Aikman’s face above your butt crack. You can lick a stranger’s face while on a bus in Houston. You can now cough into the faces of your fellow gun enthusiasts while at the ammo store. You can dine inside a barbeque restaurant and eat barbeque that’s not as good as Memphis barbeque but still better than that North Carolina vinegar-based shit. You can hug your right-wing buddies at the…
It’s been a year almost to the day. A long, distressing, stressful year.
COVID-19 came on the shores of the USA. When it began, the drivers of policy, management and leadership really sucked. At this moment, there seems to be a choice in the corrrect direction.
I’ve been following John Legend for a while. I fisrt became aware of him when his hit “All of Me’ came out. After that, I follow him on ‘The Voice’, on his performance for father’s day, on ‘Celebrating America’ – Biden/Harris inauguration and now ‘Soul of a Nation’.
I saw the first episode. It ended with John singing ‘Never Break’ … I have also been eduating myself on the history and experience of Black America. I wasn’t able to find John’s actual black and white performance on the series … so I present you an earlier version of it.
There is a lot there … this is one of the many songs documenting the history, strength and importance on the Black community.
ABC Previews ‘Soul Of A Nation’ As A First-Of-Its-Kind Broadcast Network Newsmagazine Focused On The Black Experience
ABC News is premiering a six-episode series on Tuesday that is being promoted as something far different for traditional network newsmagazine: Soul of a Nation focuses on the Black experience in America, or as ABC News executive Marie Nelson put it on Friday, “The series expands the vision of Black life in America in a way broadcast TV journalism has never done.”
“SONG’S INSPIRATION”
“I wrote this song because I have faith that as long as we walk this earth, we will hold each other’s hands through every tear, through every up and down, through every test. We promised each other this on our wedding day seven years ago, and every challenge we’ve faced has made that promise more powerful, more resilient.
Our love will remain. We will never break.
“I’m in awe of the strength you’ve shown through the most challenging moments. What an awesome gift it is to be able to bring life into the world,” he added. “We’ve experienced the miracle, the power and joy of this gift, and now we’ve deeply felt its inherent fragility.”

John Legend performs the song ‘Never Break’ from his new album, ‘Bigger Love.’
Oh, yeah, We got a good thing, babe Whenever life is hard We’ll never lose our way ‘Cause we both know who we are Who knows about tomorrow? We don’t know what’s in the stars I just know I’ll always follow The light in your heartI’m not worried about us And I’ve never been We know how the story endsWe will never break We will never break Built on a foundation Strong enough to stay We will never break As the water rises And the mountains shake Our love will remainWe will never No, no, never, We will never, No, no, never
It’s more than a good sensation It’s more than a passing fling You are the explanation Of what love really means It’s bigger than you and me It’s one plus one equals three When we talk about forever Then forever’s what we mean So I’m not worried about us And…
Also known as George, the Great … I don’t really know when this photo was taken. I took it off his Facebook page. I think there’s hasn’t been that much change.
He’s the youngest of three. And as sweet as that stuffed dog!
Quote the character, knowledgeable and a free spirit.
I’ve had 70 turns around the sun. I’ve experienced plenty of what life has to offer. I had the priviledge of a full education. I’m still educating my self, to this day. Every day I learned more about our history.
I fear we are getting so close, if not already there, to what it desscribed above. At least, it seems to be playing out in the open.
Let’s learn the lessons, let’s not foget, let’s not allow it to happen again.
