I’ve posted before about my ‘brother from another mother‘ Martin. We met through the wonderful world of blogging almost 9 years ago. Through this connection, we’ve become fast friends … he lives in the Netherlands, I live in Florida.
Because of this connection, I was completely aware of the personal situation the love of his life was going through. I was aware of her deteriorating health, her move to the specialized facility, his frequent visits, the effects of COVID on his visits to Lijda, the call for him to report to the facility, the transfer to the hospital, her eventual passing, her memorial and burial. Some of this is explained in the video.
We were together ‘experiencing’ what both of them were going through as Lijda’s health deteriorated. I knew that this ‘memorial tree’ was in the works but I didn’t know the story behind the ‘Medieval Dynasty‘ game.
Martin has honored Lijda in so many ways, as a loving hudband would. This way of honoring Lijda is even more spiritual, everlasting and meaningful.
Medieval Dynasty In today’s episode of Medieval Dynasty
I will be sharing the story of how the Memorial Tree came to be In the Medieval Dynasty Game.
We moderators were among the first to hear about this story, but asked to leave it up to him if he wants to share it, since it is so very personal. I remember hearing it after I had seen the tree for the first time.
A night in spring, in full bloom.
It was so beautiful all on its own already, almost seemed to glow with its own light, the only tree in the forest that can never be cut down. Knowing the story behind it, makes it even more beautiful, the impression that it leaves even deeper and more lasting. It is a memory of a precious love and, from what it sounds like, a wonderful woman. It reminds us that such people and such love exist in the world and how lucky we are if we encounter them and get share with them every moment that we get.
Thank you for sharing it with us. Thank you for reminding us.
America IS a racist nation … there are plenty of examples in post!! Take a look … I am embarassed for Uncle Tim Scott!! … “When one of our two major parties is racist, we are a racist nation. This nation was built on racism. Our Constitution was written with exceptions made for racists. Our electoral system is racist. We fought a war over racism and today, half the nation can’t admit it was fought over racism. During the last election, over 70 million Americans voted for racist Donald Trump. And yes, Donald Trump is a racist. If you voted for Donald Trump, you are very comfortable with racism.”
Republican Senator Tim Scott was chosen to deliver his party’s response to President Joe Biden’s address to Congress. In his speech, Scott said, “Hear me clearly: America is not a racist country. It’s backwards to fight discrimination with different types of discrimination. And it’s wrong to try to use our painful past to dishonestly shut down debates in the present.”
Republicans, who struggle with race, rallied around this message in hopes that we can finally stop talking about race so they’ll be left alone to create racist legislation.
If America is not a racist country, at the very least, the Republican Party is a racist party. Proof of this is they chose their one black senator to deliver the message that they’re not racist. It’s not like they said, “Hmmmm….which one of our many black members should we choose to deliver this address?” And to be a successful black Republican…
