The people who scream about “cancel culture” are all about the Cancel Culture Club when it suits their purposes. The Georgia House in the state legislature actually passed a measure to rescind tax breaks on airline fuel because Delta Airlines voiced objections to the racist law. To punish Coca-Cola, will there be a new sugar tax?
Most of the Republican outrage is being directed at Major League Baseball for the moment. A baker should be allowed to refuse to bake gay wedding cakes and Hobby Lobby should be allowed to force the owner’s fundamentalist religious views on its female employees, but dammit…baseball needs to play ball with racists.
