Yep, it’s SCIENCE indeed!! … “It’s climate change. Funny thing about climate change. It’s like covid. It doesn’t care about your politics. While people in Louisiana are hesitant to believe in climate change and most New Yorkers have a better grasp of science, Ida didn’t care. Hurricanes will hit blue states and yee-haw states. But, because the south is on warm waters, they’ll usually be hit first because hurricanes form in warm water. Science, people.”
After making landfall in Louisiana, Hurricane Ida went to the north east and killed at least 41 people in New York and New Jersey. More people died in the northeast than where Ida landed.
New York City was not ready. The streets and subway stations flooded. Mayor Bill de Blasio blamed weather forecasters for being wrong, but they actually predicted the city could get between ten to 14 inches of rain when it actually got nine. They predicted this last Monday. The rain hit on Friday. de Blasio sucks and is a shitty mayor.
The city that never sleeps shuts down when the trains shut down. And just a couple weeks ago, some New Yorkers biggest gripe about the trains was the faux wood paneling and retro-looking orange and yellow seats.

The SCOTUS ‘non-decision’ handed down on September 1, basically rendered null and void precent of almost 50 years of women’s reproductive rights under Roe v Wade.
It was a 5-4 decision – handed down by the ‘Federalist Court‘. 4 judges dissented: Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Elena Kagan, Justice Breyer and Justice Sotomayor.

Yep!! They are coming …. got things to do!! — “The stampede is coming and if the courts won’t protect constitutional rights and women, then maybe businesses will.”
Now that Texas has effectively banned abortion, expect other yee-haw states to follow suit sooner than later.
You might think some of these states will pause to see what the Supreme Court does in its next session, but the court already weighed in to say they’re not weighing in. Plus, Republicans are too giddy to stamp out women’s rights to wait to any longer.
One of the biggest outrages in all of this is that Republicans are winning in this nation despite the majority of the United States population disagreeing with them. Despite a majority of Americans voting against Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020, voting against Senate Republicans, and being pro-choice, conservatives will probably control the Supreme Court for the next 30 years. Did I just ruin your weekend?
Republicans are in denial that the majority of the nation wants nothing to do with them or their racist xenophobic…
