Vax That Salad

NOTE: “… brief summary of the lunacy, criminality, and sedition of Michael Flynn.” … and Flynn stated the following a few days ago: He said, “Somebody sent me a thing this morning where they’re talking about putting the vaccine into salad dressing. Or salads. Have you seen this? I mean it’s – and I’m thinking to myself, this is the Bizarro World, right? This is definitely the Bizarro World. … These people are seriously thinking about how to impose their will on us in our society, and it has to stop.”

I had a stop-the-presses moment last night.

Like I do everyday, I had jotted down potential topics to cartoon about. Some of the topics are heavy subjects, like immigration, the debt ceiling, Texas abortion, missing indigenous people and Gabby Petito, Haiti, Trump’s lawsuits, etc, etc. As I said before, I like to have a definite idea (not just a concept) for my next cartoon before going to bed. I will toss and turn all night and have nightmares of crosshatching if I don’t. Seriously, I have dreams of crosshatching.

Around 11:00 P.M, I heard the news about disgraced scumbag General and former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. This guy is a piece of work. But, my gears went into motion for a Flynn cartoon. I wrote down three ideas and was giggling witch each of them. I cracked open a Blue Moon while amusing myself and kept writing, self-editing, more…

The NFL and Trumpism: Perfect Together

Perfect description of the ‘power’ that has been unleashed on this ‘ripe’ nation!! … excellent read! … “This is what they love. This is the America that makes them proud — the one of violence, guns, submission. The messianic one ever seeking peoples to “free” and lives to “improve,” so long as those oppressed and un-free are willing to become mini-me’s for our great, white and reliably Christian nation.”

On The Fence Voters

Sometimes I come across a post that says exactly what I think, only better. Brian Keane is a writer over at You can follow him there. He also contributes to a publication on Medium called Politically Speaking, of which I sometimes contribute as well. He’s one of the best writers I’ve had the pleasure of reading, and this post simply puts Trump and Trumpism in its rightful place of disgraceful infamy.

I have written in the past about the seeds of Trumpism. Amway, for example, long before Trump’s aspirations to enter politics were even known to him, was already cultivating his future followers. While those multi-level marketing meetings, perhaps, can justify the near divine view Trumpists have of the Donald, they don’t explain the violence, the anger or the aggression.

While not all Trumpists are white supremacist bent on destroying America, they all do seem to be…

#TBT …. “🌴 ‘ThrowBack Thursday – College Years: Circa Early 1970’s’ 🌴 …. “!!

~~September 23, 2021~~

These pictures came up in my social media as ‘memories‘ .. and indeed they are!

We met at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico, located in Ponce on the south coast of Puerto Rico – we we ALL hail from.

There were three of us – The Three Musketeers – Maryjane, Maritza and myself.

We were happy, carefree and connected. The world was ahead of us. We were pure, sincere and committed.

Today, we are in our early, mid seventies … and life has been good!!

Maritza, Maryjane and I!

Marín, Maritza, Me, Flor, Maryjane and Ulises in the back!

Live & Learn

The mind’s eye had two bafflements: coming out of the light and going into it.

Thursday Thoughts …. “ 🩺 ‘Healthcare Workers Strong, True Words’ 🩺 …. “!!

~~September 23, 2021~~

I was lucky to have a full career in the health field. I’m a retired physician. I always honored, valued and respected all the nurses I worked with. I always recognized that I couldn’t do my job without them!

I feel for them …I’ve been in the ICU setting. Caring for ONE crtically ill patient was dauting enough. Imagine now the relentless flow of crititially, literally dying patients! The stream doesn’t let up.

We, as a society, haven’t done our part to help them and to work together. Clapping for them isn’t enough, calling them heroes isn’t enough.

We need to join them and help them!!
