I woke up this morning to my daily routine: coffee, cell phone, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsUp and blogging. I was able to only do a bit of this because – all of a sudden – poof!! – off it went!!

THIS SITE CANNOT BE REACHED!

Now, come to find out, seems Zuck has been under the microscope. 60 Minutes didn’t help and the outage didn’t either.

After a long conversation I had with a friend last nightI couldn’t have said it better!! … “Please remember, this border crisis is a direct redsult from four years of Trump. And, a lot of these numbers are the result of gaslighting. Biden does not have dementia. He’s not being handled. Vice-President Kamala Harris isn’t the secret president puppet master.

The borders are not open. Biden is not going to outlaw cheeseburgers and curly fries. But, if he goes after crinkle cut, that’s his ass.”

I’m going to be honest with you. I got this idea from another political cartoonist. No, he didn’t say, “Here’s an idea, Clay. Take it.” And he didn’t draw this cartoon only for me to swoop in later and traced it. No, he did a cartoon on Biden’s approval and I thought, “What total and complete fucking bullshit from a hypocrite.” It was also a lame cartoon. I actually don’t even remember the set-up.

I wasn’t going to comment on the cartoon but I was having a hard time suppressing my snark. When a couple of mutual friends made comments on it, I came in to reply to them and said, “Yes, Biden’s numbers are so bad, they’re almost as low as Trump’s highest.” It actually took a few hours before I realized that’s a cartoon. I don’t think I really liked grafitti art too much. I have learned to appreciate it with time. I came to know about this young artist when American troops left Afghanistan.

There’s so much about her history that displays the accomplishments of the Afghani women. To have them undone by the returning Taliban regime is heartbreaking and quite demoralizing.

According to the response that I get to my Covid reports the nation just does not seem to care anymore…..but there are some reports that deserve reporting…..like our latest milestone….

Hospitals in crisis mode are starting to see some relief as COVID case numbers driven by a summer surge of the delta variant start to decrease, but the US has reached its “latest heartbreaking pandemic milestone” nonetheless: more than 700,000 deaths, a number bigger than the population of Boston, reports the AP. That figure was exceeded on Friday, with the latest 100,000 deaths coming over the past three and a half months. The AP notes the frustration being felt by medical professionals and public health officials, as vaccines are now widely available to the American public and can help cut down on hospitalizations and deaths.
