On July 27, 2010, a new life came into the world.  It was small, warm, furry, helpless.  Seven weeks later, it was at an adoption shelter.  All that the staff knew was that the furry little girl’s mom was a Siberian Huskie.  (We would later discover that her dad was a Boxer.)  She had a brother and sister and her sister was also up for adoption, but when I played with her, she wasn’t interested.   When I played with the puppy the shelter had named “Kim”,  I asked her to give me a sign if she wanted to come home with me.  She jumped on me and kissed me one time on the face.  That was my sign.   I took her home.  On November 18, 2021, as she heard comforting and apologetic words, she again gave a kiss and went to her home on…

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. Have lived in Florida since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability.   1. My friend was a Pekinese, also found at a shelter and less than a furball when I opened the door to his huge cage and he launched himself into my arms. he left us almost 8 years ago and I miss him still. He had a face that, as my mom said, only a mother could love
