Texas Cowards

I thought FloriDUH wasn’t a happy place in spite of Disney … I guess Texas is right up there with FL!! … “They say everything is bigger in Texas, and it’s true. No state has bigger cowards.”

A few years ago I was at a wedding here in Virginia, and the bride’s mom had flown in for it from Texas. After the vows were exchanged and everyone was dancing and eating cake, the bride’s mom was talking about Texas. Everything that came out of her mouth was about how Texas was the greatest place in the world. Texas is great for this. Texas is amazing for that. Texas, Texas, Texas. It was kinda insulting to everyone who lived in Virginia to be told how much better it is in Texas. She had a real lady boner for the place. Some of the stuff she claimed about Texas wasn’t true, like how the state could secede anytime it wanted and it’d probably be better off, but I didn’t challenge her because the bride is a really good friend of mine. It’s not her fault her mom was lying…

Friday Real Fact, #2 …. “🌀 ‘Hurricane Ian Destroys McLAren P1’ 🌀 …. “!!

~~September 30, 2022~~

So very sad to see.

I’d think if anyone had that much money to buy this car, they should have had enough to protect it from this desturction.

I’m wonderinf if they have good insurance … more than likely, yes! HortyRex©

Hurricane Ian ravaged the US state of Florida, causing catastrophic flooding and leaving two million properties without power.

The storm was around 225km (140mi) wide brought 240km/h (150mph) winds to the south-west part of the state, but was downgraded from category 4 to category 1 as it moved north-east.

Showing just how powerful the flooding is, photos have emerged of a rare McLaren P1 destroyed in the storm.

Friday Real Fact, #1 …. “🌀 ‘We are Safe — We Survived Hurricane Ian’ 🌀… “!!

~~September 30, 2022~~

We were lucky and we are blessed!!

And we are so very thankful.

The effects of this humongous hurricane were barely felt where we live. Having no power for almost 7-8 hours was the only discomfort we experienced.

And for that we are very, very grateful.

Woke Hurricane

I totally get you! I live in FloriDUH!!! … I know!! — “It’s not just the hurricane that scares me for the good people who live in Florida. I’m also scared for them because of the largest threat to the state, Republicans.”

I have a lot of friends in Florida, as I’m sure you do as well. At the rate people are moving to the Sunshine State (making it the third most populous in the nation), it’s probably impossible not to know someone in Florida. And I’m concerned for my friends in Florida. I don’t want to call them “Floridians” because some of them truly don’t like it there and would take offense to the label. But still, they live there nonetheless.

I’m concerned for my friends in Florida because of Hurricane Ian, which is making a beeline for my friend Karen’s house (who definitely doesn’t want to be labeled as a “Floridian”). This is a bad storm and I’m afraid there will be a staggering loss of lives in addition to the billions in property damage. Plus, Karen just put in a new pool. I tell her every day to check…

Hurricane Ron

I know, I live in FloriDUH!! … “As Hurricane Ian threatens Florida, Ron DeSantis is the face of public safety long after his credibility has been shot from his constant lies. Ron DeSantis politicizes everything he touches for personal gain. Who says he won’t do that with a hurricane? Trump did.”

Hurricane Dorian was an extremely powerful category 5 storm that hit the Atlantic ocean in 2019. It decimated much of the Bahamas before traveling up the east coast hitting Florida, Georgia, North Carolina (where it made landfall), and Virginia. It even hit Newfoundland and Nova Scotia with hurricane-force winds before finally petering out over Greenland. Note that none of those places are Alabama.

When storms develop in the Atlantic Ocean, forecasts for where the storm is a threat range from Mexico to Canada. By the time the current president (sic) at that time sent out a tweet on the storm, the Gulf of Mexico was not in the projections and every forecast had it going up the east coast. But, when you have a racist gameshow host clown president, misinformation will be sent out. And when that clown is contradicted, the clown will order every government agency to lie for…

Tuesday Thoughts …. “🌀 ‘Update on Hurricane Ian’ 🌀…. “!!

~~September 27, 2022~~

Many of you may know that I live in Florida.

My family unit lives in central Florida. At this moment, like many others in this state, we are under warning and watches related to the arrival of this atmospheric phenomenon.

Needless to say, we are hoping for the best. We have our supplies and have picked up all objects in the backyard.

If you don’t see me for a while it may be because we’ve lost power.

What is left? Hope for the best!!

Ian’s center has now emerged into the southeast Gulf of Mexico after raking across western Cuba. Storm surge flooding, heavy rain and damaging winds lashed Cuba’s western provinces late Monday into Tuesday in what was far western Cuba’s first Category 3 landfall in 14 years.

Hurricane conditions are still ongoing in western Cuba.

Bands of rain containing gusty winds are lashing South Florida and the Florida Keys.

Winds have gusted from 40 to 50 mph in Key West Tuesday.

Ian will be a large and dangerous major hurricane as it approaches the coast with life-threatening, major impacts.

Milk and Cookies for the PutinBunker

Sign’o the times: Russian draft!! … “Russians are fleeing the nation to avoid the draft. They’re crossing borders into Finland, Georgia, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan, and flying to Turkey.”

A reader sent me a cartoon idea this morning and it wasn’t bad. Thomas, a nice guy it seems, suggested I draw a cartoon of Edward Snowden being drafted by the Russian military now that President Vladimir Putin has granted him Russian citizenship. Not bad, Thomas. Of course, I’m not going to draw Thomas’ idea because I don’t use ideas that are not my own and…I predict at least two other cartoonists will draw it. In fact, my friend Quannah commented on this cartoon on Facebook predicting Snowden will be drafted.

Thomas was thinking like a political cartoonist, seeing Putin’s desperation as he’s losing the illegal war he started in Ukraine. Putin lied to justify his war but even if Nazis were running wild in Ukraine, that wouldn’t justify bombing schools and hospitals. It also doesn’t justify the sham vote occurring in Russian-occupied territories to become a part of Russia…
