hello friends, wally here. big day today. dad weighed me today and said i weighed 14 lbs, up more than 2x since he adopted me on halloween. dad was so proud, and said i was going to be his little beast. mom smirked, and said a scat eating beast, whatever that means.

I gotta be honest with you. I don’t have much to say about David Crosby. I can’t fake it for you. I respect his influence and musicianship but he wasn’t a big influence on me unless it was through other musicians. I mean, I loved Tom Petty who was into The Byrds, so maybe that’s it.

I was never really into folk rock so I never got into The Byrds although I’m a huge Beatles fan, and the Byrds and the Beatles were two groups influencing each other. I never got into Crosby, Still, Nash, and Young though I do like a few Neil Young tunes. Young was well-regarded in the early 90s Seattle grunge scene and Pearl Jam even toured with him.

But I don’t think David Crosby ever reached me. I don’t hate his music but I don’t listen to it either. I don’t like “Our House” or…

Let’s make one thing clear. What happened on January 6, 2021, was a terrorist attack against our country.

It was an insurrection by white nationalists to overturn a free democratic election and install an unelected dictator. It was a coup attempt.

It was an attack designed to stop the certification of the election, a duty mandated on Congress by the United States Constitution.

The people who did this are terrorists. Ashli Babbitt, who was killed during the attack, was a terrorist.

MY KIND OF ART

Every once in a while, I dabble in ‘my kind of art’. This time, two intertiwned frogs were painted on Joe’s shed doors. It was a depcition of two actual stuffed frogs hanging together inside their house.

They lived in Randallstown, Maryland.

What you see is not the completed ‘job’.

I recevied these two photos from Patricia, his wife.

Memories came rushing in. It was nice then … it’s nice now.

BEAUTY AND BREAD

Every morning we wake up to our personal reality and to the world’s reality. Either one of these can be daunting, oppressive, difficult, desparing, uplifting or easy.

Any which way it is, we all need recharging.

The body needs “bread”, the ‘soul’ needs energy.

Well, well …. a good ‘kid’ with a gun? … “Back to the gun: The guy said there wasn’t a gun in the house but allowed the cops to search. They didn’t find a gun. but before the cops left, a neighbor showed them surveillance footage of the baby running around with the gun. They went back inside and one of the cops asked the child “where he put his ‘pew pew.” The kid pointed to a roll-top desk where they found the gun…which was fully loaded with 15 bullets in the magazine. Fortunately, there wasn’t a bullet in the chamber.”

Police in Beech Grove, Indiana were called when a toddler was seen in the hallway of an apartment building with a gun. The cops were called by a neighbor who reported that the toddler came to her door and pointed the gun at her son, who quickly shut the door and told his mom, “Baby with a gun.”

The caller looked through the peephole and saw the kid with the weapon, saying, “He was just kind of holding it behind his back, and I thought…like that’s a real gun. I sell guns for a living, so I know what a gun looks like.”

The purported father of Baby Bang-Bang, Shane Osborn, told police there wasn’t a gun in the house. He also said he was feeling ill and taking a nap when the toddler went outside the apartment and that he wasn’t aware of what was going on. Reportedly, the…
