DITTO … “I personally believe the only reason Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a Special Counsel to investigate President Biden over misplaced classified documents is to placate whiny victimized Republicans.
Republicans always demand special treatment. Right now, theyâre screaming for an investigation into something President Biden did that they ignored when Donald Trump did it worse.”
I personally believe the only reason Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a Special Counsel to investigate President Biden over misplaced classified documents is to placate whiny victimized Republicans.
Republicans always demand special treatment. Right now, theyâre screaming for an investigation into something President Biden did that they ignored when Donald Trump did it worse.
Garland appointed a Republican, a Trump appointee at that, to investigate Biden. Can you imagine the GOP reaction if Garland had appointed a Democrat to investigate Trump? He didnât. He appointed an independent. And donât forget, Robert Mueller is also a Republican.
Republicans were howling for a Special Counsel before one was appointed, and asking why the FBI wasnât raiding Bidenâs home. The reason the FBI wasnât conducting âraidsâ on Bidenâs two homes or the White House is that Biden is cooperating and the National Archives never requested the Department of Justice to become involved. COVID is NOT done yet!! … “The disease is changing the US â demographics and life expectancy â in ways that we arenât considering yet, but will have to face soon. Individuals, businesses, and government are basing decisions and actions on a pre-COVID view of the world.”
We have a new research study involving scientists across the US â Yale, Thomas Jefferson University, University of Texas, University of California at San Francisco, University of Washington, Rush Medical Center (Chicago) and the CDC.(1)
Iâm not going into details on the study, but the key findings are:
Half of persons testing positive for COVID-19 had some of the symptoms three months after the initial diagnosis. (n = 772)
One-quarter of people with symptoms who tested negative for COVID-19 continued to have symptoms three months after the negative test. (n = 278)
Separately, autopsies of 44 people who died after testing positive for the coronavirus showed that the virus had spread throughout the body, including the brain, and was present up to 8 months after testing positive.(2)
The lasting nature of this virus shouldnât come as a surprise. We already know thatâŚ
Truly don’t know how we are going to survive the next two years!! I’m already disconnecting … I just can’t!! … “Over the next two years we can expect to see much more stupid, horrific stuff across every scale of government. They hope we will be numbed by the barrage of stupid, horrific stuff. Thereâs a danger they could be right.”
Itâs the fourth day of the new Republican-controlled House of Representatives, and itâs astonishing to witness just how much stupid, horrific shit theyâve managed to spread in that short time. Thereâs the big, obvious stupid, horrific shitâlike the stupid, horrific new House Committee on the Weaponization of Government, or the stupid, horrific way theyâve gutted the Office of Congressional Ethics just as theyâre examining the Members of Congress who refused to honor the subpoenas issued by the Jan. 6 committee. But the House of MAGA has also given some attention to smaller and less obvious stupid, horrific shit.
For example, they went to the bother of changing the name of the House Committee on Education and Labor. Itâs now called the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. Why, you ask, would they change âlaborâ to âworkforceâ? Because changing the name complies with the House of MAGAâs prime directive: pissâŚ
Not a good look at all!! … “The computer system that failed was the central database for all NOTAMs (Notice to Air Missions) nationwide. Those notices advise pilots of issues along their route and at their destination. It has a backup, which officials switched to when a problem with the main system reared its ugly head. Yeah, about that backup ⌠it had a corrupt file too.”
There was a national stoppage of all flights Wednesday morning because of a corrupted file in the Federal Aviation Administrationâs computer system.
We all recall the Southwest meltdown a few weeks ago which grounded thousands of passengers and stranded people in airport terminals for days. Wednesdayâs meltdown wasnât the fault of any airline, though Iâm sure airline employees at ticket counters received earfuls of complaints.
What happened was⌠Airline officials noticed a database issue Tuesday afternoon and decided the best way to fix it was to reboot the entire system. The FAA literally did what they do in âThe IT Crowd,â a British sitcom about a corporationâs IT department, whose first comment upon answering their phones, and eventually became their outgoing message, âHave you tried turning it off and on again?â.
The manager of the IT department in the show doesnât know anything about computers or what âIT even standsâŚ
